Whoever posted this vid and most of those who have commented are obviously non-fliers who are content to crawl through their pitiful lives on their bellies because they will never have what it takes to soar with the eagles. They are like the jackals that pretend to nip at the lion. But they're just jackals. See you in the air. Oh, no, I guess I won't.
fark this guy did you see what that thing is made of ,it looks like pvc pipe and sellophane ,i bet the guys around his maiden flight must have been shittin themselves to watch him trash his own ass or actually fly , if there were bets i woulda lost (happily i might add)
@210482fmj LOL i don't know much about flying & aerodynamics but a sailplane with a 'pedal powered propeller' actually sounds like a really good idea xD with enough gears you could potentially let it spin pretty fast.. but it will add weight also.
@Rocky6able Great Clip... A friend of mine build a Carbon Dragon, 43 Ft span, Foot-Launched, Aerodynamically-Controlled Hang Glider... Weighs 125 Lb empty, 25:1 Glide Ratio, 19mph Stall, 80mph VNE... It has the Bomb-Bay Doors to Footlaunch, but he had it Car-Towed to test, then Aerotowed with an Ultralight. Landings are ALWAYS on the wheel. Search '1975 Skycraft Scout', to see my own first aeroplane. It's in a museum these days !
Cool!!!... :D

Actually, the "poster of this video" is a general aviation pilot flying since 1985, & also rated in flying gliders.

get your self a pedal powered propellor on that and maybe you would achieve perhaps a small amount of extra propulsion maybe 2mph or more
