I think in ways they sounded better back then vs their most recent tour. More energy and just seems like they're having more fun and into the music more.

Andy Summers is not very alert here! But he makes up for it at the end. Stewart Copeland seems hungry, ready to take on the world, and win by 1983.

Sting is just incredible here. His bass improv is almost obscene, his presence in the closeups is as iconic as anyone else's in rock history.

I think the audience here is fantastic, and pushed the band on to this sweaty and passionate performance.

@xensboy i dig your comment..adn yeah..altho Stings' technique looks so clumsly hilarious,he digs those fretless strings the best he could and somehow appears to sound vaguely great..but the top notch of this ,as you correctly name it," sweaty and passionate" performance,imho is him yelling "ROXXXAEEENOOOOH" madly at the mic ,especially at the very ending of teh video..truly a true entertainer
