  • Question: isn't saying "you can't just do this on your own" a hypnotic suggestion?

I don't mean to say that you shouldn't be making the disclaimer - this is for food cravings, not addictions, and I understand where you're coming from. HOWEVER, telling people they CAN'T do something positive, no matter what the motivation, "you need help" etc etc feels like unintentional hypnosis.

I might have simply said: "keep in mind that this isn't intended for addiction. There are specialists for that."

  • Thanks for watching so carefully! I really appreciate the feedback.

About your concern, I think I made my point clearly enough. My concern is that if someone has a serious addiction they take care of themselves and get professional help. I think that is clear.

I wasn't intentionally trying to use a hypnotic language pattern here. Just trying

to make sure folks get help where needed.

    Thanks again for watching!

    Mark

  • Oh gosh, I wasn't implying you were doing it intentionally! :-)

I enjoy your videos Mark, keep up the good work!
