  • aha und ?

  • so cool

  • @art1peace thanks man

  • is there a cheaper rip off version of the korg?

  • @LuekalanunFerdalan None that I'm aware of. Korg makes an iOS version called iKaossilator and it's only $9.99.

  • Hi, just wondering what sort of Wall-e that is....

  • @afmedbery This is an i-Dance Wall-E (discontinued toy). There is a 1/8" input jack so he dances to whatever sound source is plugged into him.

  • What's the difference between the yellow and the red one ? Cool music !

  • @PKFreeyoursoul Kaossilator (yellow) is a synthesizer (generates sound). MiniKP (red) is an effects processor (manipulates sound).

  • @KidKulit Which one would you recommend for beginners ? I already have a Korg NanoKey and a Nanopad 2 ;)

  • @PKFreeyoursoul Well, they do different things. So it depends on what you're looking for. If you want an unconventional touchpad-style handheld synthezier that can create beats, SFX, and other fun instruments and can phrase record as well, then get the Kaossilator. If you want a portable effects processor that can be used to change and warp the sound of any gear you own via RCA cables, then get the MiniKP. They are both pretty cheap (under $100 each if you look around). I say, get both!

  • Kuwait's right! Beautiful:) *

  • @az99920 thank you :)

  • Wall-E makes it all complete!

  • @isotope454 I concur :)

  • well done indeed

  • @RyanLynch2000 thank you sir :) glad you enjoyed it

  • Hey! Just have one more question about the Mini Kp! Does it work as a vocoder as well? I mean can I hook up a mic to it, speach something and distort the sound of my own voice?

  • @crazycypriot123 No, the mini KP does not have a mic input and no vocoder effects. However, it's bigger brother, the KP3, does have a mic input and vocoder effects... amongst many other features.

  • @KidKulit Does the Kaossilator not have a mic input to? Does that mean I can't loop my own normal voice constantly by using one of these kaoss pads? Also, I CAN actually hook up the guitar to one of these kaoss pads and loops the guitar sound and bring in effect to that right?

  • @crazycypriot123 The Kaossilator (yellow body) has no inputs, only outputs. However, the Kaossilator PRO (green display) has RCA audio inputs as well as 1/4" mic input. You can loop guitar onto either the Kaossilator PRO or the KP3, but you'll need a mixer. You cannot plug your guitar directly into the unit. I would suggest researching the specs of all the units on the Korg website.

  • Best video of that combination Ive seen yet. Nice job.

  • @drum4life42 thanks man. glad you like it.

  • nice

  • @ludotekanimal thanks :)

  • Whats the difference between the mini one and the korg one?

  • @frostbiteCP0 They are both Korg products. The Kaossilator (in yellow) is a synthesizer (it generates sound). The Mini KP (in red) is an effects processor (it manipulates incoming sound).

  • @KidKulit oh cool

  • in this video, are you running the kaossilator out both dry and through the mini-KP? I ask because there seems to be a clean version of the kaossilator beat/pattern running under the whole mix, even when you are touching the mini KP.

  • @kaminskc nope. the kaossilator is running through the mini-KP only. no secondary "dry" line.

  • is Wall-E the iDance one?

awesome what you have done with the kaossilator!

  • @ncoumou yes he is, but I turned his dancing off for the video cos he kept knocking into my gear hehe thanks man!

  • Love this! Its very addictive!

    MORE! MORE! MORE!

    : ))))

  • @Xhumedcorpse haha thanks! :D

  • i want the wallE

  • @petemk1966 he's the best!

  • dude thats sickkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk :)

  • @claraclaralgo thanks! glad you liked it :)

  • wall - e rocks!!

  • @estebantote he sure does! <3

  • So there are drum loops within the pad?? im planing to get one to work with my microXL

  • oh this is so funky)

  • @5p1r17 thank you kindly!

  • Great track, Love the Wall-E. Your lucky to have on!

  • @TheBravoecho11 thanks! he's pretty rad :)

  • just nothin than ultra-awesome

  • @Blitzerjunge thanks!

  • funkyfresh!!!!

  • @turntabliss +1000! thank you :)

  • @KidKulit So in simple terms, the Kaossilator makes music, and then the Mini-KP edits music? I'm trying to understand these amazing devices.

  • @kamoronsmith more or less, yes. the Kaossilator is a synthesizer that generates the sounds. the mini-KP is an effects processor and manipulates the sound it receives (in this case, the Kaossilator is the sound).

  • @kamoronsmith Kaossilator is the synthetizer, he makes the noises. And the mini-KP is a simple Kaospad, wich makes sound effects.

  • @kamoronsmith To put it EVEN simpler, the yellow one is a Synth Looper and the Red one is basically a Sampler. I have both of the pro versions so that is the simplest explanation possible.

  • @iio58 Actually, the mini KP is not a sampler. It cannot save or load samples. It is only capable of applying effects to the incoming audio. The KP3 is a sampler AND effects processor. I have both mini KP and KP3.

  • @KidKulit I stand corrected. As I use the pro versions I am used to them.

  • @iio58 no worries. both units are great!

  • wow this pretty much confirms whether or not to buy a kaossilator, great vid man

  • @VuelaBand thanks man! glad I could help in some way ;)

  • Oh my god this is awesome.I like the music and wall-e too. :-)

  • @gunnerjani2 thanks man! glad you liked it :)

  • I would definitely buy that track if I could. Nice work dude.

  • @CatMan221 thanks man :) was just messing around really. it's too bad i don't have a cleaner recording.

  • Have you hooked these two devices up to any form of software or hardware other than the shown in the video? ofc your computer / receiver. Any details we need? :)

  • @Stefan2970 it is possibly yes. depends on the software, depends on the hardware. you just need the right cables. good luck!

  • the video was good till 5:28

  • @SkippyThePinHead I know! my damn photobooth cut off... shrug... oh well

  • Yes! I am so glad I found this again, the song was stuck in my head. Especially the part that starts at :58.

  • @ynkrock7 haha awesome thanks. favourite it! that way you'll never lose it again ;)

  • I get it now, that's how Wall-E bops his head =D

  • @crossbow711 hehe ;)

  • dope

  • @blocosurdo thanks!

  • Honestly, this is the first video I've seen with the kaossilator and mini kaoss pad work great together and not sound like shit!

  • @SkyeCCChapmanmusic wow man... that's mighty nice of you! thanks so much for the kind words :)

  • mini kp & kaossilator or kaossilator pro?

  • @heatseeker4474 kaossilator pro + KP3 :)

  • @UberGoobrtDude its not a mini Kaossilator, its a mini kaoss pad, they're different pieces of gear

  • Hey, why is the mini Korg Kaossilator exactly the same size as the full?

    Great song, btw.

  • Great performance! I love it!!!! Wall-E Rulez!!!!! :)

  • @GarageArian thank you thank you!

  • I had these two products thank to you, you gave me the envy to buy it !! Thank you :)

  • @BiatchBoyz glad I could help ;)

  • i was also thinking of getting one of them for christmas do you need two?

  • @VersaNation10 no, you don't need two. they both do different things. BUT they do compliment each other nicely... and work well in combination

  • what is the patch number when you the x-y pad on the mini Kp for the first time?

  • @joeshrimpling I have since sold that unit, but I believe it is #19

  • this is wut i was thinking of getting for christmas and u just made me wanna get it even more!! awesome job!!!

  • @jointhedarkside94 nice! glad I helped inspire you :)

  • thumbs up for wall e

  • @zeek561 indeed! Wall-E's the best!

  • @zeek561 This is almost as good as ninja cat.

    Go, Eve!

What? Somebody has to stick up for the girl.

  • wtf, you got the buttons and screen in wrong side.

  • @tempy26 The video recorded in a mirror mode... a default of using PhotoBooth. I assure you my kit is legit.

  • @KidKulit i knew it ;p just kidding.. im a teaser :D

  • how do you get the sound so clear?

  • @MysticalMuffinDude I'm recording the audio straight from the Kaossilator\MiniKP into the "audio in" on my computer.

  • @KidKulit (sorry new) how exactly do u do this?

  • @joshXdave not sure what you're asking... can you be a little more specific?

  • WALLY :D

  • @eVITORIOe YEAH!

  • @KidKulit WALL-E *

  • COOL

  • @metalBG100 thanks

  • Wall-E is the best:D

  • @Davinci110 WORD!

  • can you actually program drum patterns on the kaossilator?

  • @murderbydeath222 not exactly. essentially, there is an 8x8 grid that can't be seen that lies underneath the touch pad. when you're in arp mode, each increment moved left or right \ up or down changes any given pattern slightly. you can attempt to program a pattern manually using the loop recorder as well, though I imagine that takes much longer to do

  • I'm wanting a synth. Any suggestions, I'm a starter, the mini, reg, or monotron?

  • @LFTDMusic it's all a matter of personal preference really... I suggest going into your local music store and testing synths you're interested in playing with... good luck

  • @LFTDMusic both!!

  • ahh so they made the tripod sound from war of the worlds with one of those ;D

  • @mick00guitarplayer hahaha :)

  • I realized it was tad harsh so i removed it do you still get comments even if their removed??

  • @thedirtydeltas I get email when anyone comments on my vids, so I read it there. But no worries dood! this is how we learn... and get better! I appreciate you taking the time to listen :)

  • Comment removed

  • @thedirtydeltas I'll blame it on "first day jamming" ;) thanks for the constructive criticism!

  • damn cause im like super into wall E n this would make a great addition to my set up lol it would make my gear look extra fly lol

  • @sweetleaf6 maybe try ebay? good luck!

  • were did u buy the wall e at?

  • @sweetleaf6 I picked him up a couple of years ago at a Walmart on sale because the box was destroyed. I haven't seen one in stores to buy since.

  • damn photo booth

  • @austinqwert haha WORD!

  • How did you get this Wall-E toy to flash his eyes like that? Looks cool :)

  • @JunkiePark this particular Wall-E has an input jack. The packaging said it was for MP3 players, but I put my Korg gear into it instead.

  • legendry wall-e!!

  • nice im getting into synths lately and just got a yamaha ypg635 digital piano and am getting a roland sh0 gaia 37 key analog modeling synth soon.Do u like these pads? Im confused on what they can do lol they r really cool tho mabe i should get em cuz theyre only four hundred for both of m on guitarcenter. what r they plugged into?

  • Brilliant :)

  • Thank you for submitted your great KO- Series video, we enjoyed watching your video.

Each Round will focus on a different Korg product, so stay tuned for more opportunities to win.

    Thanks,

    KORG USA

  • @KorgUSAVideos thanks for watching my vid! I love Korg products :) super fun times

  • how much were they? there pretty sick.

  • @HardRemixx Kaossilator I got for $200 and the miniKP for $80 (both used on Craigslist)... though the Kaossilator can probable be found for cheaper now

  • @KidKulit Sweet, Thanks.

  • so which is better to own if can only afford one? the mini KP or the Kaossilator?

  • @shift1to0 depends on if you want to make noises or if you want to add effects to things?

Think of the Kaossilator as a synthesizer and the miniKP as an FX unit.

  • @shift1to0 hey dood! sorry I missed this comment somehow... exactly what @ncasey88 said :) but both are excellent for their given uses and are perfect as a combo!

  • Why the video is flipped vertically?

  • because the webcam on my Macbook Pro records it that way when you use Photobooth

  • @KidKulit There's gotta be a way to flip the cam control to show it the right way. Cuz now all the machines are right-handed and would fit my hands properly without me having to do reach-overs with my left hand, and that's downright unnatural-looking! Hahaha lol.

I found this trick no video seems to be using. Go to d.84 (Breakdown) and hit the top rim of the touch pad, and wait. It does infinite rising feedback. Cancel it by drumming anywhere else or switching the program.

  • normally, wall-e dance , because here there isn't enough sound

  • no I disabled his dancing because his movement was distracting my performance

  • heyyyy dude!!!!!! and what you do with the wall-e??? I do not listen to what you do with him? is just decoration?

  • wall-e doesn't add any sound... he's just there for blinking lights :)

  • oh yes, like it....great job

  • cool! thanks! glad you enjoyed it

  • @KidKulit so which is better to own if can only afford one? the mini KP or the Kaossilator?

  • @shift1to0 they both do different things. the kaossilator is a synthesizer and generates sounds. the mini KP is an effects processor and manipulates sounds. so it all depends on what functions you need.

  • This is a great video, I got my kaossilator this Christmas and I'm fricken loving it. But I've gotten bored of making 8-16 beat loops... So I want to hook my kaossilator to my brothers mac to make a song with the beats in garage band, can you tell me what cord(s) I would need to do this.. Or if it's even possiable..

  • @TrimmedPaper

dual RCA to 1/8" stereo Jack cord plugged into the input of the Mac should be the best option.

  • yeah... what MarctheDarc said :)

  • Okay I bough the RCA 1/8" Jack and it went perfectly into my kaossilator and I plugged it into my brothers mac and it dosent work.. I turned the volume up all the way and it wasent working. I did it in photo booth and garage band.. Help, what am I doing wrong?

  • @TrimmedPaper

I'd say there's something wrong with the sound input settings in the Mac.

Check that the input is turned up in the Mac and so on.

  • go to system settings and then audio

make sure 'line in' is selected under audio input

if necessary, do the same with the audio in preferences for both garageband and photobooth apps

    good luck!

  • K I got it working in garage band Which is really awesome! But photo booth has no settings so it's not working... How do i get it working in photo booth?

  • go to system settings and then sound

make sure 'line in' is selected under input

  • Great work and very very nice video with techno wall E :D

  • thanks! glad you enjoyed it :)

  • woah, your kaossilator has the buttons on the opposite side that mine does. weird.

  • Nope. My iSight camera just recorded this video mirrored in Photobooth. I assure you it looks just like any other Kaossilator. :)

  • hey, which one would you recommend: the kp or kaossilator i have a Microkorg and want to heighten my music stuff i guess. And also how would the kp hook up to the microkorg

  • well they are two different things really.

the kaossilator (like your microkorg) is a synth that makes its own sounds and it is capable of some basic looping.

the mini KP is an effects processor and alters any sound source going into it (ie. a kaossilator or your microkorg or anything else). if you upgrade to a KP3 you can also do some sampling and overdubbing.

so it all depends on your own preference and what you want to do. good luck!

  • Whats the Difference between the Mini-KP and the Kaossilator?

  • @zamaeri09,

Kaossilator is a synthesizer, the sound generator that makes the phrases and loops.

Mini-KP is a Kaoss Pad, meaning it is an effects unit with reverbs, delays, filters and stuff.

The fun in the KP is that you have one effect on the Y axis and one other on the X axis. The place of your finger on the grid decides the amount of effect.

Though the grid seems only 8 by 8, its actual resolution is hundreds of times higher than that, so tiny movements with your fingers give tiny changes.

  • mini kp edits sounds and the kaossilator generates them

  • seriously, deal maker!

  • haha nice! thanks!

  • You've just helped me make my mind up about the Kaossilator. :)

    I don't think I'll bother with the Wall-E though.

  • Kaossilator is loads of fun!

So is Wall-E ;) but he's just there more for show than anything else

  • Mine arrives in the morning. Very excited!!!

  • as you should be! have fun with it!

  • dudes a chick, sorry. Saw your myspace, good songs on there too.

  • hahahaha I am, indeed, a "chick" ;) thanks for checking out the myspace as well! glad you dig my tunes

  • thats awesome man, all you need now is one of those crazy sirens to sing over your music like Moby and DJ Sammy

  • haha crazy sirens FTW! :)

  • Amazing! Dude!!

  • hehe thanks dood!

  • is the Wall-E circuit bent to actually do something or is it just there to be awesome?

  • haha not circuit bent unfortunately... just there for blinking eye awesomeness :)

  • Which is better? (not including Wall-E, cozz he is obviously the best)

  • Well they both do different things - the Kaossilator is a handheld synthesizer capable of phrase loop recording while the mini KP is an effects processor. So really, they work well together.
