also can anyone tell me if it's possible to use an electric guitar amp with a bass or would i have to buy a bass amp i own a marshall MG15 DFX if it makes any diffrence.

sure you can use a bass with a guitar amp if you want it to sound like a guitar. I would just buy a bass amp it makes a diffrence.

i own three SX electric guitars all strats i was thinkning about getting a bass but having never played one i don't know what kind to get, either a P bass or jazz bass can you maybe recomend one any help is apreciated ^^

What do you want to play with it? A P-bass has a chunkier neck, vs. the Jazz's slightly thinner neck.
