vidfreak when I try to press lk lk hk and than the air hyper viper beam i can get off the ground after the kicks. However, I know my timing is off since it should say air combo if the timing is right. Any advice on getting the air hyper viper beam off before my opponent can block it?

What I did was S.LP, S.LK, S.HK xx QCF, U/F+PP, then do this again, and on the last one, just quickly jump and do the air version. To time it correctly, you just have to do the motion again right after the first one and when the 2nd one is over and you drop to the ground, IMMEDIATELY normal jump and do the super and aiming it up.

the first 2 AHVB's are the same command: QCF, up/forward+2 Punches (A.K.A "tiger knee" command). The last AHVB is a normal jump followed by the super done with the normal method.

do your next move while the current one is in its attacking animation (some have to actually hit, some don't).

Scimitar to Hyper Viper:

DP motion+P, then do the super. Simple as that. Just be sure that you cancel in time for the super.

It actually is though. Setting up the assist is easy with Cable's crouching Fierceand When the first AHVB super ends, jump forward and do j.roundhouse into another AHVB and presto.

actually it is not too hard. When you do QCF, add an up/forward before pressing 2 punches. Cable will jump and do the super.

When you do supers like that, your character does super jump,but because it activates the super, for some characters like cable, it lets prevents him from going up too high. When the super ends, he falls back down to the ground. Do the super the same way once more and on the 3rd time, just normal jump and do the super in the air. It should work.

Just a smooth half circle motion.

I am actually more of a casual gamer. I dont go to tournaments cuz its out of my economical reach (Im too broke to travel to EVO tourneys). I only knew that combo works because of the fact that after tripping the enemy and doing Time Flip super, the holographic Cable lifts the opponent into the air and the real cable recovers fast from it so you do the AHVB motion QCF,U/F+PP and the beam super will come out in the air instantly.

Well, all characters that have an air super with simple motions like QCF+PP can do it in the air off the ground. Do the motion:QCF, then UP/F+PP and they will jump and do the super up in the air the moment their feet leave the ground.If you are still having problems let me know. Cable is a noob character.

but at the hands of a master, he's a real threat. You have to be on your toes and stay on his face constantly so that he can't AHVBx3 on you. Don't give him that chance, easier said than done of course but thats where some characters do well in. Fight him with characters that will give him trouble.
