I am amazed by a few things, one how many cars you have, two that the train is so long it loops around with only a few feet between the front and back but most, is that only 3 engines can pull all that!
@trainguy7724 very impressive man! im just starting out in O gauge. i've bin using HO gauge since the beginning so any tip's or thing's to look out for with O gauge? anyway nice railway did you build by your self? by scratch?
@777MMT I started with ho but switched to O gauge. I would recommend MTH TRAINS they are really great most of mine are mth except some rolling stock which is Lionel. MTH is also cheaper than Lionel and i think better for your money but lionel is good to. I also use Gargraves track and Ross custom switches cause the gargraves flex track can make and design. This was scratch built using no plans and has been going on for over 6 years. Me and my grandpa built it thats it
Dear trainguy, could you help me with all these tracks ?
Here in France I CAN'T find a good track to run modern tinplate engines , such as ACE MTH ... The only thing we have is old tinplate track, Hornby or Jep, perfect but only for tinplate trains ! could you help ? And, is it possible to buy this kind of track in France... Regards, and wonderful layout by the way !
@trainguy7724 misterownage1 is talking about the fact that you have a caboose in the middle of a consist (it isn't right & is not proto-typical) & have modern era hoppers with yearly 20th century boxcars (yellow UPs are yearly 1900s vintage boxcars) & Burlington Northern being pulled by steam locos with a F.R.E.D. & not a caboose at the end of the stream era train, all TOTALLY not proto-typical. So maybe you should OPEN YOUR eyes & see how a REAL consist should be for a particular time era!
@trainguy7724 You need to learn how to spell & then get your facts straight before arguing facts. Steam trains ARE NOT "still" used today for revenue service. Union Pacific 844 maybe the only steam locomotive never retired by a North American Class I railroad, but is only used for yard work, record-pulling or excursions like other steams still around today such as Iowa Interstate's or the Nickel Plate or the Santa Fe 3751. Also BN cars & FREDs did not exist with your steam engines!
yes i have seen a friwfht train just not one with passsenger cars frieght care canadien cars amarican cars mexican cars im just saying dont want to start an argumaent and yes i seen a fright train train stations a minute away from here by car i see them all the time
No, I don't like it! No weathering! Just a kid running toys. No realistic modeling going on here!

Subbed. Check out the Kent & North Wales Light Railway for another large scale indoor layout.

Why so many engines if you have 1 diesel it could pull this or 2 small steamers like these. My new MTH AC6000 could start 80 no problem.
