  • i think that the flowtech purple hornies are tad bite better.i just slapped one on my 90 gmc sierra 5.7L it has a very noticeable HP/tq gain i say at least like 10-20hp gain.Either way you still have a ox for a truck these older gm trucks will last a life time if maintained properly!

  • sounds just like my truck.. don't you love when your gas gauge looks like that?? i sure do...

  • I just did the SAME thing to my identical truck. It sounds 100% better if you have the pack come out at the back of the cab, take a 2" i/o piece of exhast and run it to where the exhaust should be from stock. The bend in the end of the pipe gives it a real nice crack and snap sound

  • sounds good. No exhaust leak. good job

  • there phone # is 866 869 9704 call them and you can order them

  • what do u think about puttin those on a 77' Chevy. i got a big block 454 if it matters.

  • cherries dont sound that goodby themselves. put some headers on take out the cats then try it. but beware cops do not like it lol

  • Damn man you need to take that cat off cos it dont need it taking it off gives u better gas and alot more torque/horsepower and you need to true dual that sum bitch cos that gives you ALOT better sound/horsepower/and gas mileage

  • taking the cats off will make it alot louder, but it does not help with horsepower or torque. By taking them off it lowers the horsepower and torque because it lowers the compression.....

  • @1niteNxtc if you dont have a clue what youre talking about, dont talk.

  • @1niteNxtc taking the cat off doesnt do anything for horsepower or tourqe there is no back pressure created by them on chevy though from the early 90s though it will make them louder if removed

  • dumbass

  • would one of these fit on a v6 s10 blazer?

  • Yeah you can find one to fit, just google cherrybomb and go to their site!

  • @Noner65 my buddy has the same truck but it dosnt sound that good to anybody i know v6 just dosnt put out the sound. just an opinion

  • yes

  • @Noner65 you can put a glass pack on any thing you want doesn't matter what it is or size of the engine

  • i gotta get a video of my truck it sounds awesome.i got no cat and running a straight pipe to a glasspack sounds like i got dual exhaust but i dont.

  • usually the longer and larger diameter the muffler is, the deeper the sound

  • Does the length of it make a difference on sound or performance?

  • sounds great dude. just got mine today

  • Good deal....u ever put the magnaflow cat on...i got one for mine an rly made a diff in the sound

  • sounds good but i would say get a bigger cam to make the idle better

  • a bigger cam? an how wud that idle better....the stock cam makes it idle better an sftermarket one wud make it sound good but idle rough.... an i still dont get wat a BIG CAM means...duration? lift?

  • are you still running the stock Cat?

  • Also do you think an 18"bomb would sound better than a 22"???

  • So did you just bolt the bomb in the stock muffler location and dump it?? if so then that is what i want to do cause yours sounds really nice!

  • sounds like mine did before i had a leak at the y pipe. hehe now it is straight piped. Lol Not intentionally though.

  • that sounds pretty good man

  • How loud is your truck? I'm just curious because I am wanting to install the exact setup you have. I'm pretty cheap, and just want to turn it down after the glasspack. Thanks!

  • Not bad after you hit 3rd. But 1st and 2nd can give you a headache if you don't feel good. :P

  • Well, I caved in and bought myself a glasspack with a turn down. I just have a straight pipe from the flange back now. I cut the muffler off today and will weld the glasspack on tomorrow. How do you have yours set up? You probably have 2.5" piping on your truck, did you get a 2.5" Inlet and outlet on your glasspack and just weld it together, or did you get a slip on? I just got the same diameter on both.

  • 3" Inlet, 3" Outlet, 4" casing, 22" overall but I got a turn down that wouldn't slip fit so I had to take it to this little muffler shop for a weld job.

  • I have a dumb question: What are Cats?

  • catalytic as in catalytic converter

  • Hairy critters that shit all over your house and leave hair on everything.

  • u gotta queer dog

  • lmao..haha

  • Yeah ... Cherry Bombs sound way better without converters ... I've got an 1989 Bronco with at Cherry Bomb Glasspack and running without my rear converter ... and it's got that true deep Cherry Bomb sound ...

  • Is your glasspack bolted on to the cats??

  • Nah, its running behind the cats, it has a pipe

  • just so people understand cherrybombs where designed back before cars required cats, so take that cat off at slip one on and you got a mean sounding engine for abotu 1/8 price of a flowmaster

  • does it still have cats on it? sounds good

  • yeah it has an OE cat that is probably getting hollowed out this summer, but I am looking at getting an '02-'03 C1500 soon.

  • super 44 is where its at

  • Sounds good.

  • haha yea its ok but wat u really need is some super 40s flowmasters !! yea

  • yeah my friend has some on his dodge 318 sounds nice, but I like this, and it was pretty cheap

  • i had some cherry bombs on my 83 blazer but i put some of those super 40s and they r way louder

  • Flow masters flow as good as an asmatic blowing into a straw ; ) Cherry bombs > Blowmasters

  • Check out the Flowmaster Circle Track 3in single chamber muffler if you're looking for some serious noise

  • Hey man, it sounds pretty decent. Contrary to what 98% of people think louder isn't always better. For example your g-p's flow more exhaust than flowmasters. As far as advice ditch the manifolds and get headers as manifolds really bottle up your engine

  • wtf do u mean if its not warm lol its a new truck rev the piss out of it! and u might wana think about getting a tail pipe thats visible or get ready for a fix it ticket....i found that out the hard way...

  • His motor isn't to its operating temperature yet. Engine parts are clearenced to account for the expansion of the parts as they heat up, so if you "rev the piss out of it" while it's still cold, you risk breaking the skirt off a piston, which requires complete dis-assembly to repair. Just a little food for thought.

  • nah she's old :P; and they're legal here in LA - Louisiana

  • thats not a new truck....look at it, it's a mid 90's.

  • Its either a 88-93

  • '90, with I guess the stock 350 in it! I'm gonna be rebuilding it over the summer. But for now I just have to brush off the plugs every so often 'cause of the oil burning.

  • Yeah well the 350 is a good motor but it sure is a gas guzzler, to bad the throttle body sucks for horsepower =/ Our trucks were the first generation with fuel injection rather then the carb so the horsepower and torque is pretty low, and since our trucks don't have a central processing unit, its really difficult to do any work without throwing all of the electronics out of whack, its bullshit.

  • i have a 1990 chevy just like this with a glasspack and its got some good torque but nothing for horsepower, but it has enough torque that i can beat all of the ricers around town off the line and most of them up till i hit 3rd gear =)

  • Haha yeah those trucks tore it up through first and second gear!
