  • looks like chip and dale tv show

  • I loooooved this movie as a kid and watched it again as an adult and it was BETTER than I remembered!! I'm so glad it was a success, it deserved it.

  • Disney is crap now. Kids need all of that CGI to be entertained.

  • I still have this on VHS!

  • @AMB33ZY Lucky! I heard they were recalled!

  • @TheBookWorm1718 Why???/

  • @AMB33ZY If you can believe it, during Bernard and Bianca's flight, on the VHS copies some people reported seeing a image of a topless woman in the midst of the scenery. Go figure.

  • This is *AWESOME!!!* This was the trailer that made me want to see the movie more than anything else. "The Rescuers" was the first Disney movie that I actually enjoyed on it's own merits rather than just because it was an animated movie or a "Disney movie". (And, of course, I *still* do!)

  • @reynard61 I wonder what the original theatrical trailer looked like? They had to have good advertisements for it to break the record of biggest hit for the opening weekend, never to be beaten until An American Tale 15 years later.

  • @TheBookWorm1718: Unfortunately I never got to see the original theatrical trailer. My guess is that it did so well because it was getting spill-over audiences from "Star Wars", which was packing theaters over capacity and Multiplex theater audiences would often go to other movies in order to wait for available seats in the theater in which "Star Wars" was playing.

  • I haven't seen this movie since I was about 5! Been searching for it for years, but didn't know the title lol.

  • @Chookie369 u and me both!

  • TheMadagascarqueen will never show anymore clips from that film called The Rescuers as well as its sequel The Rescuers Down Under and the PG-13 rated The Simpsons Movie!

  • The Fox and the Hound (1985 print)

    1. Red FBI Screens

    2. The Black Cauldron Trailer

    3. WDC 1984 logo

    4. WDP 1985 logo

  • Madame Medusa is not a thing like Cruella DeVil, there are far more similarities between Madame and Ursula than Cruella.

  • Great movie that i grew up watching as a kid.

  • @TheAltair4

This is your fave disney movie with it's sequel? one of my top 14 Disney movies go by Pinocchio, Aladdin, Emperor's New Groove, Lion King, Snow White, The Great Mouse Detective, The Aristocats, Robin Hood, Beauty and The Beast, Hunchback, Mulan, Fantasia, Rescuers 1 & 2, and Atlantis.

  • @Johnlindsey289 Yes, this and it's sequel are all time faves of mine along with the others you mentioned.

  • @TheAltair4

Oh yes i also adore Oliver and Company, Sword in The Stone, Jungle Book, Sleeping Beauty and Lilo and Stitch. I also like Black Cauldron as well for being different and very Mononoke/Rock-and-Rule esque. Bianca is quite a cutie even with that accent, John Candy was hilarious in this movie. Did you know Don Bluth was one of the guys behind this movie before he quit Disney?

  • @Johnlindsey289 Yes, those are faves of mine too, especially The Black Cauldron. 101 Dalmatians, Fox and the Hound, Lady and the Tramp, Song of the South, Little Mermaid, Cinderella, Peter Pan, Dumbo and Bambi are all faves of mine too. Bianca was adorable in both movies. Bon Bluth is one of the best animators to ever come from Disney.

  • @TheAltair4

More faves, i adore any Disney movie. Bianca has that appealing accent and Bernard always insists on taking the train in parts 1 & 2 but seriously what kind of train would go to Australia? Medusa looks like a younger version of Cruella.

  • @Johnlindsey289 Well, i guess it would have to be a special train that could travel underwater to get to Australia. lol. Medusa does kind of look like a younger Cruella or perhaps even her sister.

  • @TheAltair4

Here's an interesting fact you don't know, did you know that The Rescuers was gonna have a TV show but was changed to Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers and went for a sequel instead? true fact.

  • @Johnlindsey289 No, i didn't know that. Rescuers Down Under turned out ot be a great sequel though.

  • Awesome! Favorited!

  • Thank you for the trailer of the original release of The Rescuers ... this brings back such fond memories!!! I saw the original Rescuers back in 1977!!!!

  • Just added this to my "to get on DVD" list. Looks like a fun film!

  • @MattTheSaiyan Too bad the picture quality on the DVD makes the film looks like shit.

  • MAYDAY!

  • do you have anymore of these disney release trailers Im talking about when they were originaly released?

  • @moviedudeinc I tend to post them as I find them, so keep checking in on my channel

  • An outboard dragonfly?

  • In the Disney movie: Bob Newhart voiced Bernard, Eva Gabor voiced Binaca.

  • @heine71 Opps! Sent you the trailer when you already saw it!

  • @caa1000 No problem, I faved it!

  • My 2nd favourite film from a great Year(1977) The First Being Star Wars:A New Hope,Both films have a sorta similar plotline-a young girl held captive, and an unlikely group of Heroes

  • To think this Disney classic did had Don Bluth as animator, before becoming director for both The Secret of Nimn and An American Tail, during the 1980's. Don Bluth worked on The Rescuers and partially on The Fox & The Hound for Disney, between 1973 and 1980.
