oh i am getting nostalgic. i remember playing that game for months and months and I was dreaming of it too. was one of the best games on the market then. and it was made with so much love, there weren't just the disks but I remember a letter in the box inviting you to Zork as if everything was real. i got really taken by that game. awwwww

Man when I heard "I'm too drive to drunk" when passing this game in a mall, I was laughing so hard I bet they could HAVE heard me on the opposite side of the mall. Both my former best friend from school, and I were laughing pretty hard.

the unforgiving nature of the game was my favorite part. there are so many adventure games that wont let you progress until you combine the right objects, which basically turns the games into click crack. but RTZ let you go through the majority of the game after making a faulty move.

This game was so hard. My friends and I wasted so much time figuring out the puzzles, but we just died anyway. I always smile when I remember taking Waif's gift rock and then throwing it at him. Zork was sort of fun to be an asshole in, but the game figures you out real quick and kills you. Good times.

The reason RtZ was so hard and frustrating was because the previous game the developer had made got criticized by a reviewer for being too easy, so they decided to show him who's boss by making this game as irritating and impossible as they could.

I got kind of far inside the house down the trap door under the rug then got killed by a troll after 3 tries to kill him with my sword lol it's crazy. Second try I got the lantern and sword, went upstairs found a rope and a knife. Went back to the troll, threw the knife, he caught it, then ate it, and died lmfao who would of thought it would work?

I never understood this particular death. Lighting the match before he passes out does nothing, yet it's only after he goes down for the count that it's suddenly lethal.

A previous comment suggested the explosion occurred because of the alcohol you poured into the plant. Well if that's the case then why doesn't it explode after pouring the first drink into the plant, or the second? Wouldn't the plant have absorbed it all anyway? And you didn't specifically chuck the match into the plant....
