Why do people still support Obama?

Because he convinced people to belive in "Yes, we can".

The only thing he have changed as far as I know is that he changed the name of his soldiers from soldiers to peace soldiers...

Obama winning the election as the first black president is a monumental moment in american history. However, I think he is a little embarrassed by the award because thier is so much that needs to be accomplished. Being the first black president wasn't enough

Lol @ these people talking about the wars staining his presidency and escalating the wars. He inherited the wars, he had nothing to do with starting them. If he doesn't escalate then he either has to 1. Continue with the same number of troops and make little progress or 2. Pull out now and have it all be for nothing as the Taliban and Al-Qaeda rebuild.

He is deploying 30,000 more humans in an unstable region to kill other human beings. His escalation of the war in Afghanistan has thrown out the excuse that he "inherited" this war. Yes, Bush did start it, and, boy, was that a mistake. But when Obama sends 30,000 more of someones children to war, he is branding that war with his stamp of approval.

Once again, it's a necessary evil. He chooses to pull out, then they inevitably retake the country and launch more attacks, and all the death was for nothing. He continues with the status quo, people keep dying with no resolution in sight. If you have a fourth option he can take I'd love to hear it, but he made the only one that makes sense as far as I can tell.

I think it is incredibly ironic that the Nobel Peace Prize winner has decided to expand the war in Afghanistan.

Even if a public option is put forth and passed, Afghanistan will forever stain Obama's presidency.

Ummm...they did give a Peace Prize to a Prez that has a couple of wars going on!  One would think he's a little busy at the moment!! I guess they gave the prize for some "favors"/publicity?? Stop the world...I want off...LOL
