Using Pidgin instant messenger in Ubuntu Linux

aim doesnt work for me its ive tryed yahoo and that works so do u have any ideas y aim isnt working im on ubuntu 9.0.4

AIM works just fine for me. Double check your account login information. There is nothing wrong with Pidgin

lucky it still wont work for me and ive deleted my name tryed it on 2 diffrent computers with ubuntu in my house and still doesnt work

@bassinthetruck i have opposite problem but i checked what i typed in and i could log int mail but not messenger...
