That was dead before it hit the ground haha, I shot one last Friday with a .22 silenced but I think it wad a lung shot, it was a about 30-40 yards out and I hit it and it ran a further 10-20 yards away and then just dropped dead... I saw a video on sone guys with lurchers chasing the fox and they just grab it and rip it up and I think it's tight unless you shoot it, a fox got my granddads chickens a bit back so ever since then me or him will shoot any we see, little bastards...

Great shot mate! I always find that patience is a virtue particularly when fox shooting. I found that I was "rushing the shot a little" when I first started fox shooting but I soon learned that shot placement could be a lot better if I took my time and waited for the "right moment"!

You obviously found the right moment on Charlie with that shot, great shot placement - He didn't get up and complain, did he?

I have not tried a .223 for foxing yet, I prefer to use my Bruno Fox .222 (Model 2)

@SirSlotsAlot you ever eaten fox? i know it dont sound too great but i have been told badger is nice and i would eat one but all the ones i find the flies or magpies beat me to it. i only have air rifle so no good for badger so have to rely on roadkill. i would assume fox wouldnt be dissimilar as diet is similar
