Fox "illustrated" a discussion of the (peaceful) protests in Madison Wisconsin in Spring 2011 with footage of disturbances in California - complete with palm trees in the background. (As with the Greek sign in the background of their "Moscow" clip, Fox seems to be so blind, they don't even think -- "Are there palm trees in Madison?", "Do they speak Greek in Moscow?".)
This video does not show any evidence that Fox did what you say. Bad enough to have an error on a website, but in most cases, video clips show on the site were previously broadcast on cable TV.
Unfortunately we have a large population that believes Fox like it was gospel. However, many of us are wide awake and know that they do a ton of false reporting as does much our MSM media. More are waking up to the truth, but it's been a very slow process and many that have claimed to be awake really are not - that is very obvious by the fake tea party groups and late comers to the movement (started by RP supporters) that are supporting anybody but the original and only true tea party candidate.

I have pretty much quit watching American news broadcasts because they are ALL guilty of this kind of thing. I am a native American, but I get most of my world news from other sources, BBC for one. I know many of us are looking to the net for more accurate reporting and hoping what we find is better.

The second Protests in Moscow (24 dec). There where about 130000 people and again - Nobody was arrested. The people were throwing snowballs to the policemen and they were throwing them back. Everyone was happy as they were at the last time. (When people were taking photos with policemen and giving em sandwiches)

Not the first time. Fox "illustrated" a discussion of the (peaceful) protests in Madison Wisconsin in Spring 2011 with footage of disturbances in California - complete with palm trees in the background. (As with the Greek sign in the background of their "Moscow" clip, Fox seems to be so blind, they don't even think -- "Are there palm trees in Madison?", "Do they speak Greek in Moscow?".)

This video does not show any evidence that Fox did what you say. At least when this fantasy hit job on FNC was claiming CNN showed incorrect footage, there was some evidence (the cnn logo) Unlike many that are left or right as far as they can get, I fully realize that Fox has a well defined slant to the right...big fuckin deal...they aren't perfect...far from it but they are still the most accurate. Bad enough to have an error on a website, but in most cases, video clips show on the site were previously broadcast on cable TV.

Unfortunately we have a large population that believes Fox like it was gospel. However, many of us are wide awake and know that they do a ton of false reporting as does much our MSM media. More are waking up to the truth, but it's been a very slow process and many that have claimed to be awake really are not - that is very obvious by the fake tea party groups and late comers to the movement (started by RP supporters) that are supporting anybody but the original and only true tea party candidate.

They said that we had been in lock down everyday for the entire week because brown people were rising up. From what I remember, that was BS. So I don't trust Fox News. Here in Greece we have proof that these people who incite riots are police officers with a hood on their head. Reason? First to prevent citizens from protesting against our corrupt government that violates the constitution. I have pretty much quit watching American news broadcasts because they are ALL guilty of this kind of thing. I am a native American, but I get most of my world news from other sources, BBC for one. I know many of us are looking to the net for more accurate reporting and hoping what we find is better.

The US government does not control Fox News, which frequently attacks the US government in the same deceptive way it reported this story. Fox is only part of a large conservative media bloc that views facts as up for negotiation, while dogma is unquestionable. It disgusts me that a Russian media outlet has been given justification for lecturing Americans about being manipulated by the press.

This is why I take everything I hear on the news with a grain of salt...people here in America are easy to believe anything they see on TV so long as it has some sort of appealing imagery to it, even the educated, sadly.
