Nice to see, beautiful! But do i read that correctly in one of the comments that you were on a trip to go whale shark Fishing?? I'm sorry, i sincerely hope you meant watching and not to catch a whale shark. They are one of the biggest and the most gorgeous of all sharks! But lucky for you, you got to see dolphins in this quantity!
@MiekenBica No Maam... The comment says to fish OFF of a 45ft whale shark. Let me explain... Whale Sharks which are the largest FISH eat Krill, their scraps attract bait fish that attract Bonita (also a bait fish but like a small tuna), other bigger fish (the ones we were fishing for) such as Yellow/Black fin Tuna, Wahoo, Sharks, Mahi etc... eat these bait fish.
@undergroundmodel It might be the translation. A good explanation though, but i already knew that. Too bad to hear you were fishing other sharks, and did you know that the Wahoo and Mahi are not really good for your health? And that most sharks are listed endangered? You might consider not to go out fishing at all.
@MiekenBica There are arguments on both sides as to weather certain fish are "healthy"... Yes some larger fish contain higher levels of Mercury... As with anything Moderation is key. I do not run a mass fishing operation, I fish for SPORT and I enjoy it. If I kill it I eat it! As for Sharks... They are typically caught for sport. Once topside they are cut free and released... Fishing hooks are made to rust and fall out.
@undergroundmodel I know about the food chain, and the one you told about is not a mini, it is the oceans food chain and we humans disrupt most of this chain by over fishing, which means in the end there are no fish at all left. Especially if we keep on fishing sharks which (most of them) are the apex predators of the oceans and if they are gone, all will go wrong in the whole food chain. Think about that before you go out fishing. But it's good to see dolphins isn't it! :)
@MiekenBica So its kind of a whole mini food chain which equals amazing fishing! No whale sharks were harmed in the making of this video... Or Dolphins!
This is absolutely beautiful. Dolphins are so curious, they are like little babies. They love interacting with other animals, especially humans. Its sick that humans exploit their true beauty and magnificence for their own welfare. This is a million time better than going to sea world or similar places where they buy and sell dolphins for hundreds and thousands of dollars
You know they have a really good ear and probably when they hear there's a rush close they travel there in order to stay together this can also be a code
This is amazing video footage. Makes me home sick. I'm from Destin and I'm in Atlanta now. Really miss the gulf coast. Thanks so much for sharing this. I love it.
Honey, an experience like that CHANGES A PERSON and makes you appreciate the little things in life and the creatures we share this planet with! That must have been a magical experience for you and your family :) You should definitely feel like the luckiest person in the world! A very blessing experience. THANK YOU for posting this. Im a dolphin fanatic and this truly made my night. Thank you :)
Wow thats amzing!! People should try to experience this more rather than going to see them in captivity and supporting the drive hunt ie. THE COVE....so sad the brutal tortures these mamals go through in taiji...IT NEEDS " STOP!!
I had a remarkably similar experience off the coast of Puerto Vallarta while on a day cruise for snorkeling. There were literally hundreds, maybe thousands, of dolpins all around the boat with their babies too... just like in your video. Thanks for sharing this it is truly amazing I agree!
@JmufucknM Actually it lasted for much longer than this video. We had to speed up the boat to leave the dolphins because they stayed with the boat for about 30 mins. It was a pretty amazing sight!!!
@undergroundmodel I doubt the boat was faster than a dolphin, but probably they felt the message and didn't chase it off, they only wanted to say hello...
I love this video! I've lived in Destin for many years, and you never get tired of seeing the dolphins. I was talking with a client of mine, and with this oil slick coming this way, I mentioned the dolphins. She told me to look up your video and that it was amazing. She was right!! As for the guy who doesn't like sweet southern accents, Don't F*** with the South!
Thanks everyone. Yes this was an amazing day!!! We saw this dolphin pod on our way out to fish off of a 45ft Whale Shark. We start our fishing journey again this Monday and we purchased a underwater camera to drag behind the boat, so check back for more exciting footage.
Dumb Accent??? was about to ask what Yank state you were from then I looked on your page. Canada... Explains everything!!! Cold weather must make YA"LL grumpy. If you don't have nice things to say don't post on my page. Okay... Thanks
@undergroundmodel i would have laid down on the bow and never taken my eyes of the water. And I don't mind your accent because I lived in Georgia. I lost it a few years ago tho.
Yes, in Taiji they kill and eat dolphins once a year, but that's the only place in Japan where it happens. Don't give the Japanese shit for something that most of them have nothing to do with.
@Hanesu Once a year? How about from Sept 1 through Mar 31st EVERY year! That's just in Taiji. There ARE other places where dolphin hunts continue in Japan, since Taiji only kills approx 2,300-2,400 of the 23,000 dolphins permited by the perfectures to kill.
Google THE COVE go to SEA SHEPHERD dot ORG and look at the DAILY reports, pictures, video of the killings for the 2010/2011 season from Cove Guardians.
But it is UP TO THE JAPANESE to speak up and STOP THIS BARBARIC TRADITION.
