Something like this was actually talked about in the episode of ufo hunters "aliens at the airport". Its called a hole punch cloud. What happens is ice crystals in a higher cloud layer fall down and make a large hole in the clouds. Cold temperatures are required for this to happen, and since this was uploaded in the month of october, its deffinetly a whole punch cloud. Sorry.

I have seen the exact same thing in South east Georgia, on the coast. And there was a small, very bright white light that flashed in no particular pattern near the edge, and then stopped. I watched the thing for 20 30 minutes as it moved out to sea. This must be some sort of weather anomaly, because it is real. Very real.

Cool cloud formation, but I don't think it's a UFO. This is the kind of cloud that forms over mountains in rare occasions, and on rarer ones it occurs anywhere.
