i also so this on funny people and want to fine it on here remind me of my soon be ex wife that i still do any thing for if she take me back into her arms but i know just a dream
Warren Zevon led a very intresting life. His wife just published his journals in a book called "I'll Sleep When I'm Dead". Its the most honest autobiography I have ever read.
@deimukass ya i watched funny people thats why i youtubed it its a good song, Scene: ira(seth rogen) makes george(adam sandler) a playlist, 1st song Dont Worry Be happy 2. (i forgot) 3.Keep me In Your Heart] but when it gets to the part where it says when u see that crazy son he gets sad and hes like just write me some jokes you stupid asshole... and rushes off...
Yeah, I remember that a really cheesy and over-played song was on Seth Rogan's playlist before this. This really changed the mood of the whole scene from lighthearted and silly to somber and serious. Well done scene.
@segurotech this was perfect in Californication. What other show would have its main character celebrate finishing a novel by drinking whiskey, smoking a joint and listening to Zevon. Classic Moody.
I first heard this song on Californication. Its such a simple, beautiful, moving song that reminds me of special people Ive lost and will always remember. Thank you Warren.
This brings me to tears every time-- after watching the final appearance on Letterman one knows the urgency in completing his last album(s)-- very poignant and fitting of his battle with cancer...an epic poet, without a doubt. His contribution to the music world is more than one person (seemingly) is capable of, but not for Warren-- he did it! R.I.P. Warren, you're my favorite poet of all times!
Sis-I miss you so much, I can't believe you are gone-we were going to grow old together. I will always love you-Butch and in my heart forever!!!!!!!!!
What a beautiful song. Why didn't I know this stuff existed until now?

Ashby: is this is a ritual?
Moody: Yes, everytime I finish a book, it's time for: Whisky, Weed and Warren Zevon.
I love Californication!
