well, yes, it did win me a crown. It was actually a bit surprising to tell you the truth. I just did it to give my friends a good laugh, and it ended up on mm's main page and also on the sony blog. And then they gave me a crown and I was rather surprised!

@kragier no, it doesn't come with a king costume, just the crown. you can make a king costume with other costume pieces you already have, though.

Surprisingly, this animation only took about a week to make, but I pretty much locked myself in my room and didn't leave till it was done. :P

Unfortunately, I think my friends list is full at the moment. Sorta wish you could have more than 100 people on there. :(

I'm only approving this comment to make this perfectly clear. Please, in the future, do not ask someone with a crown to account share the crown. A. it's morally wrong and B. the crown is an exclusive item that can only be used by the person it is issued to. So, pretty much I cannot account share the crown even if I wanted to. The same applies to the water beta, by the way.

media molecule and sony have competitions, and you can win a crown for that. I know one person who got a crown for his levels, though. It's basically for doing something that mm or sony recognizes as special.

ive been playing with a lot of popular people in lbp, who often get their levels featured with tons of plays, and they dont have crowns. the only one that did, however, won a littlebigchallenge, and that level was not much compared to tho others, so im starting to wonder....

a crown really has nothing to do with your level creating ability, unfortunately. It has to do with doing something "outstanding in the community" ... I personally think that people should get crowns for levels. That'd be so satisfying, in my opinion.

That'd be great, but even if it was true, im sure Mm wouldnt have the time to dig through all the levels to crown only the most awesome level creators. im starting to make levels for creators, with sticker patterns and complex contraps they get to use in their levels, so hopefully theyll get a decent amount of plays. OH and do u have a crown? Mm said they might give u one.... O__________________O

yep. They gave me a crown. It's simultaneously cool and upsetting at the same time. I won't look a gift horse in the mouth though, so I do enjoy that my animation got some press and that they did give me a crown for it, but like I said before, I'd really love if they gave crowns for levels. I would have felt more like I REALLY earned it.

I never played Kirby's Dream Land 2, but the bad guy, a kasa obake, is a japanese umbrella ghost. Since the japanese put a lot of their ghosts and monsters in video games, it wouldn't suprise me if this is the case. These umbrella ghosts also appear in super mario land 2 for the gameboy. ^_^

I want to say that it took about five days to complete, but I really worked nonstop on it. If I took any sort of breaks it would have taken a lot longer. Thanks for the compliment. I've been animating for a long time. I'm not by any means fantastic at it, but I try my best. ^_^
