@colton010 with out the drag tires it runs 13.5 -13.7 lol and that is with or with out the cam. with out the cam i actually did better on street tires. with cam most of the time is 13.7 im sure a guy with more patience could do better i just "mash the gas" and light up the tires.
@colton010 13.7 with just a programmer? that is fast. i have friends that run 13.7 with cam on drag tires. is your truck a four door? Does it have the six speed auto, i think thats is what i am going with next.
@08VMAXBLACK its a 4dr 2wd 6speed auto 6.2 liter with bullydog programmer and a exhaust system and i would suggest the 6.2 to anymore it is a hoss!!! u should check out my video if you do let me know what u think
@BLACKLACDTS. Yes most definate I would agree that what helped the most was the tranny and torque convertor of course just to put down power that was already there.

my previous 60ft was 1.7 but i have since cammed and ported/polished the heads and added a bigger stall, it should be lower i need to go to the track to find out but its in the dam shop still. Wow i would love to compete in something like that, you never know i might have a chance. I would be stock category full size truck. -stock tranny and motor with bolt ons. i know most trucks swap motors but thats a diff category.
I must say, that thing can hook! What kind of tires do you have on it? And if you're having tranny issues, it might be from too much power. I "heard" stock GM trannys aren't designed to properly handle over 500hp in the half-tons, too much power. Have you thought about the 4L80E tranny like the one Jim Parish ran in his Silverado?
HELL YEAH LOL. I want a 4l85e but i fckd up and already spent too much money on my m70 4l70e like the ones off the trailblazer ss. And now i think i want to keep it so that i can claim factory tranny and motor...this was before the cam work and stuff. Lol now its really pushing 500hp if not i know its very close to it. Mickey Thompson radials. And yes i believe the factory trannys are crap except the t400, 4l80 and close designs. well crap for high hp..bad ass for evry day granny drivin.(stock)
