  • she is great!!!

  • Where is this at ?

  • a pleasure to watch

  • wow, so beautiful, pure art of dancing

  • May I just say as someone relatively new to belly dance that if I can achieve a thousandth of this woman's gracefulness and style I'll die a happy woman!

  • Оrit is very special. She has her unique style different from others. Just wonderful

  • Essa mulher e maravilhosa !!!

  • Simplemente fabulosa!!

  • wow..... I love this video.... so nice... Radka from Switzerland

  • dina?! not at all - but she tries...

why all this singing? i thought, she is a dancer?! well, in the end, she is not bad.

  • No, she's not trying to be Dina, she's being Orit which she's very good at. As for the singing, it's something most Middle Eastern dancers do. I think she's great!

  • she is great .

    facial expression is correct

    moves correct

she did one single small mistake

at 1:07 she must neglegt her hands and move her waist instead.

also her hands are 100% perfect

but she neglect her waist :(

    they must work at time

  • selmastylez

i like her too she is amazing

but what i said u will never understand

  • Orit is isreali

  • :P laska

  • Mafish mel7!!!

  • No I don't see Dina. The only thing I can see that might be similar is that they are both minimal in thier dancing. And maybe some facial expressions. But who someone is expressing joy or sadness it would be similar. Greetings from Delaware

  • she is amazing. Full of energy. Awsome!

  • Orit is a fantastic dancer! I love Dina too, but I feel they're distintly different in style. I don't see how people think they're so similar...if you look hard enough, you could say any dancer is imitating another dancer.

  • she is really good, of course... just... i don´t know why but i don´t like her dancing style too much... for me it is not oriental belly dancing

  • if it's not oriental, then wat dancing is it?!?

  • I totally agree with you Ishtar but could never put it as well as you do.

  • The non Egyptian dancers that I really love is Russian Nour. she lives in Egypt and when I see her dancing I see Nour, not a copy of anyother dancers. She is really perferct. tape Nour a cairo. when you imitate too much you losse your personality and that is the problem with Orit. She is a turn off for me.

  • From all the dozens of movements Orit does, you see all as a copy of Dina? I find that amazing. Dina does not travel the floor like Orit or use ballet like leg lifts like Orit, I think you don't want to see Orit's unique style because you just DON'T LIKE HER. Ok,you can't like everybody, but why continue posting so many put downs of her on the videos others love??? You can't compare Nour to Orit, Orit is a Modern Egyptian styled dancer. Have the grace to allow others to enjoy Orits style

  • further take alook at Orits arms. Not Dina, she moves like fluid snakes in her arms, her backbends are ballet influenced, not dina style, her ability to almost dislocate her shoulders back in the back bend is incredible, this is what a ballerina would do in swanlake. Orits leg kicks are ballet influenced, dina does not do, her travel of the floor is also ballet inspired. BTW Classical ballet was inspired by ballet originally. Orit is Unique, samia gamal of today

  • lastly I am a professional dancer and teacher who understands the finer movements in the dance and can see huge differences between Dina, Randa, Orit, Nour. I personally use movements from all of these dancers and have movements of my own. I don't see your videos of your dancing so I can't judge for myself what level of dancer you are to be giving out these critics of Orit. dancing at a master level gives the ability to see much more than an intemerdiate dancer would see.

  • Bravo!

  • @IshtarBellydancer She is a good dancer, no doubt. But for those who are familiar with modern Egyptian dancing, her style is 90% Randa Kamel and Dina, but especially Randa.

  • @simozimo09 thanks for the comment. I don't believe she is 90% like Randa at all - and I have done Randa and Dina workshops as well as had Orit to teach at my workshoips. She has her own style, and like all us dancers there are similar movements we all do that is similar.... :D it is the popular dance movements of that year.

  • @IshtarBellydancer You might be right. I am sure she has her own style, but what I see IN THIS CLIP reminds me of Randa... Thanks a lot for posting this video - nevertheless this is great dancing !

  • I love her costume, the music is classic, my only complaint if any is when any dancer starts wording the music,ARGH!!! You are a Great Dancer, so Dance!

  • I have to admit though that I enjoyed her show. I love the music!!!

  • Asi Haskal did a great show on this music. She copied some stuff from his choregraphy like touching her heart and she touches her nose like Dina does and tries to really imitate others of her gestures and moves.

  • I dont like dancers who have no personality like this one. She is trying to imitate Dina. There is only one Dina and imitating her wont make you a star.

  • she did not give this music its justice. This is one of the greatest songs in teh arabic repertoire of songs. But she did a mediocre job. I saw male dancers do a much better job on this song.

  • super schön.....

  • BRILLANT! This is my friend Rochelle's cuzin. she told me she was an AH-mazin dancer....but shes UNBEELIEVEABULL! (go belly dancers)

hi frum sunny California, Ally :D

  • oh !!!!! fantastic , nice to meet you Orit

You dance so well , hi from brazil, Nur

  • from Egypt

  • She is a beautiful dancer! Very impressed with her and who cares about her nationality! ;-)

  • i cant see any thing make her special but the band play behind they are absolutely amazing what a fantastic performance however she is OK

  • chek her out on Fakaruni, she will defenitely make you see how special she is :)

  • I love her for the close relationship she has with the music - the melody, the rhythm, and the emotions are all beautifully and subtly interpreted by her various dance movements and expressions. It is a more naturalistic and authentic Raqs Sharqi style that too often is overlooked because it is not using showy tricks, props, or other theatrical devices to boost the 'wow' factor. I really appreciate her skill, artistry, and discretion.

  • no matter where she was born, which blood is running through her veins or her religion-she definitvely IS a great dancer and artist-super-wow!

  • If anyone ever needed inspiration to have a womanly body, Orit provides it! As a dancer she is stunning, whatever her nationality. She is my inspiration - dramatic, passionate, sensual, humourous, playful and graceful.

  • Definitely one of the best!

  • I love her......

  • so beautiful i am impressed! wonderful performance!

  • she is an Iraqi Jew

  • sh^s egyptian

  • every bellydancer copies another, is called being "passed down" which is how bellydancing has survived all these centuries. It's called "learning".

  • Please, I can find this music?

  • what's funny is that they call aer arbic belly dancer and she is an israeli!!!

  • Her arm work is lovely

  • lol whats funny is that she is copying Dina the egyptian belly dancer almost fully. if you look up Dina the egyptian belly dancer on youtube, you will see what i mean.

this just proves that no one does it better than Arabs! shes playing a losing battle

  • I don't think she dances at all like Dina???

She's got her own unique (and very nice) style.

  • They even appear to be copying the faltering, flickering egyptian power supply in the lighting effects.

  • i agree

  • This dance is also done in other countries as a tradition/culture, not only Arabs. Nour is a fantastic dancer, and she is Russian. I thinkit is more so of knowing and feeling the music and loving what you are doing, with showful expression. Granted most of the songs are in arabic, but there are instrumentals as well. That is what makes a great dancer, besides skill and grace.

  • Yes, she's originally Russian, but immigrated to Israel as a Jew. Moreover, if you look up Dina the egyptian belly dancer you will see what I mean when I say she copied many of her moves and facial expressions. ALSO, the instruments are inherently Arabic in origin. Its okay, you guys shouldnt make excuses for it. I actually am flattered that such dancers are copying Arabs. Just give credit.

  • you are right so many of us around the world adore bellydance in ALL its forms, including Turkish who aren't ARAB... however, I have to say that Egyptian style is my favourite! But even the Great Stars of Egypt learnt ballet and tap and mixed it into your baladi... :-) we all copy each other in the end :-)

  • She is not Russian.

  • I like Dina but I do not find them overtly the same! Dina is very dramatic this is what I like about her. Orit puts it across in a playful teasing sort of way, I find Orit Light hearted,

were as Dina is siereus, Personally I rate them both but for totally different reasons.

  • J'etait completement hypnotyse! Bouche bai! Seduisante! Bacchanal! Sorceress!!!!!

  • OH

    MY

    GOD

  • I've been to see Orit dance this weekend and she was absolutely gorgeous, both in dancing, personality and looks. She danced afterwards with everyone for ages.

  • I am glad you saw her in person, she is a lovely person, and a GREAT dancer!! She does have her own unique style, and her ballet background comes out in her flow and her arms.

  • she is great, true. but does not have her own style. she imitates Dina a lot

  • I don't think imitating is the right word... all bellydancers have movements in their dance that are 'stylisation' of dancers from Egypt because that is where the dance is from. hip hop has standard moves also that are used by all dancers choreographers... you than put in some of your own style and standard styles of the dance coming from different eras of the dance. Dina of course is the start of the Modern Egyptian style, and many teach and use some of her standard moves.

  • I agree. But Dina does this thing that has nothing to do with bellydance, she touches her nose. Orit copies even that. I find it too much. I cant watch her when she does that. Even her laugh and the way she walks, turns. It is all Dina. I don't know how many videos of Dina you watched. But you will see what I mean if you do. Dina made her onw style and that is why she is a living legend. Copies can not be legndaries.

  • I disagree, but understand that this is "WHAT you see". I also know Orit personally and she stayed in my house, so for me it makes a huge difference, she is warm, funny clever lady who is a beautiful dancer. Her ballet background is what give her unique movements and I don't see all Dina there at all!! ??? But i understand that is what u see. I love Dina, but I actually admire Orits style - she is amazing at interpreting the music more than Dina in MOVEMENT (not emotionally)

  • I think that person is seeing dina's facial expressions are similar. I can see it too, but they are not similar dancers. I'm into Randa at the moment!

  • it is common to teach the 'actions to the words' as you put it touching your heart, and most bellydance workshops teach this, Orit is not the only one doing this. Not all dancers choose to, but it is being taught as part of Modern bellydance. Orit most definately has her own style, a little Randa, Dina and Samia Gamal sprinkled in... that is what makes her so great!!! She is amazing at using floor space.

  • orit, you're the best!

  • good video

  • superb

  • What lovely, expressive dancing.
