@TwistedStarlight Well, which one is he? I keep hearing that he's in this movie. I think that was either him, or the guy singing with the lady right after.
The black guy everyone is mentioning at 2:13 is actually Levi Stubbs, the lead singer of the Four Tops, as well as the voice of the Audrey II in this!
@Truthiness231 Herbert didn't have any incentive to sing this song. I know that they often do really random songs, but in that case Somewhere That's Green fit with Herbert's fantasies.
I'm probably over-thinking your comment, though. =]
I've watched this before, but I've only just now realized how DEEP this song, along with the part of the movie, is. With the fence and all that... I also listen to the song frequently.
I love the disclaimer ... "The only ones who are gaining anything from this experience is the fans who might be able to learn something by watching it and talking to other fans. Thank you." agreed
I love Little Shop of Horrors. My high school performed it for the spring musical this year and I was lucky enough to be home for break during the week of the play.
This video deceives people! I went to the slums for 5 hours and not a single one broke out into song. Instead of getting a choreographed number, I got mugged!
@slackerman811 i belive it i think people could better them selfs but they just don't want to try i grew up poor but i didn't live downtown or a big city!
@army7989 I suspect you're taking that comment a bit too seriously. For the record, I grew up poor in the city and we would regularly break into spontaneously choreographed dance numbers in preparation for our battles with the Jets. Figured we'd all have broadway careers by now, but oh how the prejudice smothered our dreams...
@cain308 well not too seriously lol i was argreeing with you i just worded it differently becuase you have to watch what you say or people get on your case i have seen so many negative coments on every vid i see or attacking someones comment so i tried to give my opinion without possibly offending anyone i try not to piss anyone off!
I remember I was 10 or 11 when I saw this with a boy I liked in school . . . the next day in music class we were singing something and I noticed he was doing that heel-taping thing to the beat lol!
Apparently, these people felt their lines were especially important; they're just going about their day, then their line comes up and shit gets intense.
My mother and grandparents lived in the slums of New York when this movie takes place and they got out of there, Seymour! :-) They never told me anything about man eating plants, though, lol. I love this song it's so awesome!!
@fOxYgUrL7781 Yes, that's the mom (Jay) from my wife and kids. The mom from Every Body Hates Chris is also one of the three ghosts. That's who they represent. The third woman, the large one, is a gospel singer. They all are very accomplished in their talents.
