Love it as well. But more than confidence, I think he's relishing this opportunity to fight the good fight one last time, to go out with a bang instead of fading away. This man wanted to die fighting, and he got his wish.
Love the "Raging Bull" wink with the music as well. I think Snyder made great musical choices for this movie.
This is a good scene don't get me wrong but to people who say this should've been in the theatrical version i disagree. it has nothing to do with the main plot at all and if it was in the theatrical version it would've been a pointless and random scene
@SuperMicklovin Yes, if they just inserted it, but if they tie it into the "someone's murdering ex-heroes" plot it makes perfect sense. It would take 2 maybe 3 lines of dialogue.
Saddest scene in the movie. Good man, putting up a good fight. Makes you think that maybe hell be able to take them with the punches he throws, but no. Makes me kinda happy Veidt did what he did. Damn knot heads >:(
Anyone know the name of this song? It's a great classical masterpiece so naturally it was not included on the musical score disc or the soundtrack. I think the words "springs" or "morning" might be in the title of this song. Please reply. Thanks.
Good man fighting the good fight with only his own skill courage and determination. That scene made me cry a bit it suck how much noble people get screwed like that.

I remember when I first saw this scene...
I don't think I've ever cheered so loud at a TV screen than when he caught that first punch

(Guy with the gas mask) Captain Axis- was arrested by Nite Owl I
(The guy in the end of the sence, who killed him) Edgar Jacobi (A.K.A Moloch the Mystic)- killed by Ozymandias
As for the rest... I have no clue, if you know the rest of the villains names, tell me.

My pleasure. If you like seeing old people fighting, hong kong kung fu movies have plenty of old brats brawling ;-)
Snyder perfectly directed and edited this scene, as powerful as ion the GN.
