  • Although I wasn't born near the 80's these make me depressed :/

  • in the 80's things had style. I really wish I had known and could have better appreciated how awesome things were.

Technology got better but style got drab. Imagine what your cell phone might look like (the case and the interface) if it was designed in the 80's but with todays technology?

  • Does that second commercial have the guy that plays as joey in Friends? =)

  • cool

  • Dom DeLuise!!

  • It's cool to see Matt LeBlanc ("Friends") in that cherry 7-Up commercial.

  • Damn, I remember the first commerical, where is that "girl" now?

  • i gave my computer gum

  • I forgot how much the 80's loved to throw the colors around. I'm surprised there's still some left for 2011. lol

  • @mpmarvin999 Not in the last bunch of commercials I saw recently on tv. You know that boring white background ones copying the Apple commercials (T- Mobile is the latest to use this trend) Boring commercials. Ugh.

  • @SaturdayMorningAlive Sorry about that. We would have saved some colors for the future if we knew. lol. We knew about saving the trees, animals and water but nobody knew color would be endangered.

  • Joey Tribioni :)

  • @missmykeldanielle I noticed it too!

  • was these commercials from 1988? if not what year?

  • 3:16 Cutting edge! It's almost like you're there!

  • the double mint girls look like gay men lol

  • Cherry Zup is nasty !

  • makes me wonder if the last tree will be cut down in 2040 A.D.

  • i bet the double mint girls snatches taste like mint

  • PAT MORITA WAS JAPANESE!!!!

Why is he referring to CHINAAAAA?

  • @BrooklynTraffic true, also he speaks perfect american english with no accent yet they make him talk like a foreigner. lol

  • that toothpaste commercial could still work today

  • Ugh, Cherry 7-Up. I can't believe they brought that stuff back.

  • @jacoblonewolf And did you notice, that was Matt LaBlanc in that commercial (Joey from Friends) lol

  • @DeejayLarz2006 This had to be one of his first commercials.

  • haha, milk is a more dangerous carcinogen than cigarettes. Check out: The China Study

  • @Silenus6 and it contains a high amount of mucus

  • Weird to see people talking about 1990 as if it is the future- now it is more than 20 years in the past.

  • Dom Deloise. We don't we have a now version of him?!

  • That cockroach totally teabagged that spoon.

  • Joey Tribianni? LMBO!

  • The commercial with Joey from 'Friends' is true, guys! Diet Cherry 7-UP gets you so much ass!

  • @aberod11

I knew that blasted Mt. Dew Code Zero was cockblocking me!

  • are you sure that wrigleys wasnt dipped in LSD

  • Shows starting at :50 past the hour? I remember TBS when shows started at :05 and :35 past the hour, but :50 past?

  • Fun to hear Burgess Meredith (Mickey on Rocky) advertising Orange Juice.

  • Drink milk, hit on girls!

  • At 7:00 minute mark or so, I couldn't help but noticed the Flat-top and Side-ponytail must come back into style in the future, lol!

  • They had computers in the 80's?

  • @884bigal Oh yes, Vic 20s, Commodore 64s, Apple IIs, Amigas, Tandys...

  • @884bigal Not sure if you're being sarcastic here, but yes personal computers have been around since the late 70s ...and before that they were the size of rooms.

  • Do they still make Cherry 7UP? I remember liking it!! lol

Seems like all this is only perserved by those who recorded shows and kept the VHS tapes because they are always bad quality, off tracking...I guess advertising just throws these memories out, even though some people can appreciate it because it takes a person back to a different time because it's so easy to forget...but, watching these I remember a lot of these commercials, strangely.

  • carrying cherry 7up around like its beer

  • ...Why would a male kangaroo know about having a pouch...

  • Why does the o.b. tampon woman sound like she's talking under water

  • Ideological Subversion and mental programming at its best. Subjection to agenda through commercial programming. Genius!

  • WOW....a pencil pouch! What will they think of next? :o)

  • I make 600k a year easy and I am only 12 years old!

  • God, I wish I could go back to the eighties and invest in the Prudential!

  • Was that the gay kid's jealous boyfreind who came & yanked him away from the hot babe?

  • Since floppy drives don't exist any more, you can't stick gum in your PC.

  • Yeah, you can drink milk and get big, but by then she'll be old.

  • @WebVMan I be she is a cougar by now

  • 5 sticks for 25 cents... now its 1 stick for 25 dollars.

  • Pat Morita (speaking normally) FTW!

  • ppl who complained about the happy ending era with Prince and all just wanted us to hate the 80s because they couldnt accomplish thier happy ending -so no one could ever make me hate the 80s!

  • 6:58 2050 is gonna be awesome!!! there going to use touch screen technology in accessing information and were going to wear tight bright colored clothes and listen to synthesized music!!! : D

  • Milk was pure playa back in the day. : )

  • 4:48 juliette from lost lol

  • @EternalPokemon Lmao! Yes! IT IS!!! "Stupid dog! You made me feed the computermajigger a stick of gum!" haha.

  • Then the computer said, "Time to eradicate the human infestation."

  • i remember every single one of those commercials but couldn't tell you my parents birthdays right now if you paid me.

  • It's kinda funny we'll watch commercials from the 80's or anytime in the past and enjoy the jingles from the past as well. But, when it comes to current ads we flip the channels, or mute the tv or click off it on the PC. Reminds me of the clip from DEMOLITION MAN where the jingles were their radio station songs..... Past commercials were just so much better..

  • I go on the computer to avoid commercials but yet I'm watching 9 minutes of 80's commercials.....lol

  • wth? Cars get smaller when you're on your period? I've been getting a monthly period for at least 15 years and I never knew this!

  • @MiamiPush2theLimit hahaha funny right?

  • LOL @ the kid in the colorful shorts in the beginning. :p

  • Thank you SO much for uploading these

  • i dont remember there being cnn in the 80s

  • That Johnston's Baby Powder Lotion commercial made no sense! lol

  • Funny how milk is bad

  • Im gonna go watch back to the future now.

  • i remember that milk commercial lol milk does the body good and helps you get laid along with some florida orange juice

  • i never lived in the 80's and the 80's looks awesome, i wish i can lived in the 80's for a whole week

  • @unfortunatebeam buy watson. he was on jeopardy...

  • @unfortunatebeam

Because computers in the 80s were more advanced than those today.

  • @dwainedibbly And alot more fun!

  • haha the ziploc guy i forgot about him!

  • weird tampon commercial lol

  • hm-k, so the guys talkin to himself about old gum, then his computer starts talkking to him like it's a normal thing. then the computer makes a 3d animation with 80's technology in less than a second, and is asking about the gum. (artificial intellegence anyone?) so then the guy starts talking back like theyre aquaintances, and at the end ask's the computer WHY HE'S NEVER TALKED BEFORE. ok. watever, it's an 80's commercial, but i'm just saying- I WOULD FLIP THE SHIT OUT!

  • @GameraiderMinecraft True, but remember. This was a everyday occurrence during the 80's. Everything from raisins to microwave ovens talked back then. :D

  • all bow before miyagi-san's wisdom

  • 1:04, Boards of Canada?

  • by the time the kid in first one grows up that lady will be in her 40's

  • @kotraquin what "lady"? you mean that woman?

  • Am I the only one that finds it ironic, when you're watching TV you switch channels to avoid the commercials. Now, we're watching YouTube videos of them!!!

  • Lol back then there were only 6 known diseases that the cockaroach carried wow......

  • JOEY FROM FRIENDS!

  • Milk sucks! lol What a lie that commercial was. I was rail thin and drinking gallons of it a week back in the day.

  • @xsnrgman Thats your problem, you should have drank beer... My logic broken down:

    Beer /= bear.

    beer + a = beear!

beear > bear (got him beat by an e!)

Anyways if you want to look like a bear or better yet, a super bear (beear) drink beer. Atleast it would make this convo hilarious...

  • @SaturdayMorningAlive I drank beer when I was 15. Do I regret it? Sort of. But the past is the past and I'll leave it behind. I don't drink beer and I don't drink cow's milk.

  • Poor women, cars get smaller 1/4 of the month! :'(

  • When the US Swim Team needs ear drops, they smoke a joint.

  • Matt LeBlanc?! :D

  • I'd like to plow you... so I bet you're lookin for a fuck! LOOOOOL

  • @izlude2 Are you trying to pick up dudes on my video?

  • @izlude2 For the words of Brigand Young. I don't care how you bring 'em. Just bring 'em young! Something along those words from the late Rodney Dangerfield.

  • @izlude2 I can't STAND tampon commericals! Why does it need to be advertised? Women know what they're for. So what's the point?

  • @xsnrgman I am guessing you don't have a girlfriend. Man up, its just something they stick up their snatch. They make commercials for toilet paper, everyone knows its for their buttholes yet but we somehow NEED animated bears to educate us about proper ass wiping technique and to caution us about "Pieces of toilet paper in your butthole!!!! AHHHHGGGGGGHHHHH!!!" syndrome.

  • @SaturdayMorningAlive Yeah I know what it's for. I just find it to be one of those pointless commericals that don't need advertising. It's super absorbant! No shit?! It better be to soak up all that menstruation blood. Only thing more pointless than tampon and and toilet paper commercials would be Viagra and Cialis ones. I'll never take that junk but many 40+ yo men might.

  • @xsnrgman Viagra? Cialis? Are you a man? Do you think you will live forever in a perfect 19 year old body though? Those very products may be of concern to you at the age of 40+ (maybe, if you are unlucky), but at any pace. That still means there is a market for these products, which means these products will be in commercials. Tampon commercials, just like Viagra commercials may be pointless to you, but one day both tampons and boner pills will be the bitch money you pay to play...

  • @SaturdayMorningAlive Obviously not tampons. Even if I get a girlfriend she's not making me buy them for her. I'd find other ways to get a boner if needed and would never put those pills in my body. They're actually dangerous.

  • This was too funny. I was just talking to my friend while we were playing this (just for the heck of remembering things of the past) and he was saying how his cousins did a Double Mint gum commercial back in the 80's, and shortly after - Boom! There it was playing in front of us and there were his cousins. We didn't even have to look for it. I wish it was that easy to win the lottery! -lol

  • "IT'S JOEY!"

Except he hasn't got his head stuck in a Turkey!

  • That reminds me, I need to pick up a bottle of milk to chug during my workout.

  • I think I actually remember this commercial.

  • OB!! lmao

  • ..... sexiest baby lotion commercial ive ever seen...

  • 8:55 golden shower lol

  • My parents weren't cool with me sticking gum in the old Commodore 64.

  • the 80's were awesome! Even the friggin ads were enjoyable. Nowadays the ads are annoying and stupid. I hate ads nowadays. It's a fucking information plague.

  • 8:00 Who knew that guy would end up sitting at home with his ass up his ass?

  • ITS JOEY!!!!!

  • thats got to be there worst attempt at an Aussie accent haha

  • They look like double lesbians.

  • @DurtyDominican They so do!

  • love it retro cool

  • Is the 2nd ad the guy from friends?

  • @SaturdayMorningAlive oh, i'm sorry... i was busy fucking my girlfriend and not worrying about if today is better or worse than yesterday... discussing this with you is so much more important... excuse me because i'm going to lick some pussy now

  • @euclidesdacunha Say hi to your cat for me.

  • @SaturdayMorningAlive LOL BURN!! nice

  • everyone cares about the stupid karate kid guy but no one noticed Matt DeBlanc from friends....

  • @shadowmario81 If you read the comments you would notice that the star of canceled flop of a show "Joey" has already been spotted by other viewers. But thanks for reminding us!

  • @SaturdayMorningAlive I was talking about FRIENDS. one of the greatest sitcoms of all time. if you remember him from "joey" then obviously youve been tuning into the wrong channels for the past 16 years.

  • @shadowmario81 Wrong channels? Joey is from the makers of Friends, and was shown on the same network. Oh and friends ISN'T one of the "greatest" shows of all time.

I'm sure tons of people would put the show Seinfeld.

  • @SaturdayMorningAlive seinfeld? thats a horrible show. there all unfunny and stupid. ecspecially kramer. and it had NO plot at all. f.r.i.e.n.d.s is an amazing show. people just dont realize it.

  • @SaturdayMorningAlive Amen. Seinfeld kicked the crap out Friends.

  • @shadowmario81 go fist yourself

  • @shadowmario81 yeah the cherry 7up one

  • @shadowmario81 Actually I noticed prudential insurance first and thought to myself.. this was the greatest sit com insurance company ever! I used to LOVE investing in them when I was 5!!

  • @Saintdiggity Orange juice! There's nothing like it in the world! Especially with vodka! WAHOO!! lol

  • @xsnrgman Which I am guessing you are currently enjoying... ;)

  • Damn this takes me back, but HOLY SHiT!!! Is that Burgess Meredith selling Florida Quality Orange Juice That Refreshes?!?

  • Man I gotta get me some of that milk.

  • Matt LaBlanc...LOL

  • OMG born in 95 and this looks like a great decade for tv. I can't belive I had to miss all of this

  • I'm so glad I got to grow up in the 70's/80's! I feel bad for kids today. Yes there were bad times going on in the world also, but away from that, as a kid, we were more worried about how long we could stay out before the porch light came on, or when mom or dad called for you outside the back door. And memories were made when you were doing things with your friends and there was no drama, yes we'd disagree with each other over something, but we never thought about killing each other about it.
