@pbbeaster you only get about an hour or so it don't last long Avoca is the next beach south from Terrigal on the NSW coast, mind you they only open it when the water reaches a certain pollution level...

@pbbeaster Avoca is on the Central Coast of NSW Australia, where I grew up (Pt Clare actually but at 17 I got a old V8 Fairlaine and I was free to surf anywhere). A great place to be a kid (in the 70s and 80s anyway!) The place has changed so much - you can get 10 different kinds of coffee in the cafe and there is a Malaysian restaurant!!! When I was a kid it was fish & chips (bloody good they were) burgers and milkshakes - + Chiko Rolls.....battered savs...

The open it when the water reaches a certain level. There's a marker near the bridge, apparently, on the fishing platform, a red triangle.

When the water level reaches the triangle, in come the bulldozers, or so i was told.

So there is no timetable, it depends on how much rain we get,

@MikeRubbo The local public school tests the water for water levels once it gets to a certain level they open it, i miss it up there!! you get sharks in there 2 watch that dog mate!! i used too spear fish around the back of the island when i was teenager seen a few small ones..

I repeated him three times because his amazing leap is so hard to spot. It almost seem like three dogs are jumping. I wonder what was going through his doggy mind?

You can catch a glimpse of my own little dog, Tosca, who was going dangerously close to the crumbling edge.
