I think nick cancelled this show(despite high ratings) because the lead wasn't white and this was one of the few shows that showed a lead of ethnic diversity + her close friends were of ethnicity. Wrong move on nicks end this was a killer. Hopefully we can get something on TeenNick(the channel)

Any show on Nickelodean and Disney that appealed to minorities more than it appealed to white kids was cancelled and claimed low ratings or insufficient funds cause in reality we don't really make up the world's population. but no one in my family related to True Jackson VP lol I'm just sayin. Raven was nice but the shows from the 90s and early 2000 didnt bring in a finanically stable audience. :) homework time. Do a little research and you'll see what I mean...

@RosesofWillows They cancelled Taina and The Brothers Garcia because they appealed more to a Latin audience (which was the point really) and they wanted it to appear to a more white audience. How many all Latino or African American cast shows are on Nickelodean since All that, kenan & Kel, Taina & the brothers' garcia. the execs claimed they wanted to reach an all around audience but I dont want my little sisters relating to victorious or Icarly i want them relating to kids who look like them.

@LADEEJAY123 I personally can't stand what i see on nick these days. I loved taina Brothers Garcia, and all those older shows, and i'm white. I have a hard time believeing that the shows weren't well-rounded enough to grab viewers of all races. In my opinion, the latin sit-coms were the best; there was more of a sense of family in those shows.

I don't know what happened, but nick Sit-coms were the best when i was young.

There is alot of hammed-up, over-acting nowadays.

This show really should have had a soundtrack. Awesome songs, like this song and the song that 4(I think Taina, the black guy, the white guy and another girl sang it) of the main stars sang at a talent show or something (If anyone knows what episode that song was in, please let me know). I remember this show when it first started back in 2001 and I was 16yrs old! I'm 25 now and still remember the song word for word lol I was sooo angry when Nick cancelled the show, it was one of their best shows.
