  • @sshukri0 The T3i is the 600d. It's name is different in some markets.

  • @sshukri0 nothing, called t3i in the US and 600d everywhere else

  • @sshukri0 t3i and 600d are the same.... north america its called t3i ,, the rest its 600d

  • I just bought one :)

  • what is the battery life like if u r recording video with the lcd screen on?

  • @kosy2931 not sure exactly, but probably not much more than an hour or so.

  • @kosy2931 photos (lcd closed) 4-5hrs

    video (lcd closed) 2-2.5hrs

    lcd open even less

  • did you use a gopro to film this?

  • All my t3i footage is very grainy >:(

  • @WhoIsCosy Why....This camera is amazing with video....I've had this cam for a year now...and first thing is first 86 the kit lens.....and always make sure your exposure is correct

  • @Mira0Mirror My footage is ALWAYS grainy. It has never been clear and it doesnt seem to be HD. Maybe i gotta dud. I've seen people shoot amazing things with it but Im not getting the same results

  • @Mira0Mirror I have a class 10 sd, I'll send you a link to something so you could see what i'm talking about

  • I'm looking for my first DSLR. Do you think that this is worth the money?

  • @JohnnyBabe100 yes, it is a great camera to start with

  • @QQQQcon Do you prefer the 600d or the Nikon d5100?

  • @junjie325 I liked the canon a little more

  • Thanks, i didn't knew how to take a video. :D

  • For Christs sake, I have had this camera for almost a year now and could NEVER figure out how to take a video, I'd click the button like to take a picture and it would just snap a picture, and its just as simple as clicking that damn video button thing! Ugh I love you for showing me this, and now I know, but damn I feel like a moron.

  • First, I'd like to say thanks man! This was a good video...and is probably gonna help a lot for my t3i projects. Second though...(I know you hear this a lot) but you should invest in a new mic, haha :P

  • Hey when i click menu it only shows i have 6 buttons 2 red 2 blue 2 yellow it doesnt show the operations/functions for video and a few others i noticed you have how can i get a hold of those?

  • thanks for doing this vid! I learned a lot. Quick question, when trying to zoom and take a still photo ( in any mode), the subject appears in the LCD screen as zoomed in but when I take the picture the subject is zoomed out. How can I change this?

Does anybody knw when does the Canon600D/DSLR lowers their price from now INTERNATIONALLY? like is their a possibility they will dropprice usually after/b4 xmas?or when the year Starts or When theyll release a new model?coz im planning to get one & my dad gave me an advice to buy when prices go lower DONT-KNOW-WHEN, and i cant wait to get one like right NOW.

So,if the prices drop does it usually have BIG price drops or the price drop is not that much and i can just buy one this coming weeks?

  • @draxdagreat its only $700 in ebay

  • @draxdagreat they lower it in February

  • I would like to know more about the HD video capacity of this camera which you barely mentioned.. How long of a video can you shoot, how good is the zoom in and out features ( do they cause noise on the video?) and is there an external mike for connecting a lavelier mike for interviews or recording in general at a better quality-- there are key features I am really interested in addtioin to having a good beginner SLR camera to learn with. your feedback is important.

  • Hi, I was just wondering if you can change if you look through the view-finder or have it show up on the LCD display like on the Nikon D5100, that has the little switch at the top. Please reply soon!

  • @lyrics2025 yes you can

  • @QQQQcon how do you do it?

  • @lyrics2025 Info button brings up the camera info on the LCD

  • My Canon T3i's menu doesn't seem to have all of the features that yours does, does it change depending on what lens you are using or do I need to do a firmware update of some kind? (I just got mine)

  • @DarkFayte well you get more menu's when you have it set to Manual, and Program AE.

  • That's pretty cool, I guessed it was a go pro because of the mic sound, before i saw it in a reflection.

  • Are you using a go pro to film this?

  • been readin the manual since i got it :P lot to laern.

  • @pinklilly29 It's a shame there isn't many DSLR manuals for dummies but I have to recommendations:

Get a manual for a film slr- it explains the basic terminology without going into stupid technical stuff

    or...

Get a high- end or bridge camera such as a nikon j-1 or oylimpus, they will give just as good pictures as a good DSLR, its just that dslrs are made for people who want to change stuff and know what they're doing. Don't assume just because they're smaller doesn't mean they're better.

  • thank you for making this video!!! i seriously didn't want to read a 323 page manuel!!!

  • what...the,,,,,i am a beginner user for this camera, and i dont understand half of the terminology in the video. What does ISO mean or AV and why do you have to change them depending on the type of setting u are planning on shooting.

  • @pinklilly29 look it up, there information on this stuff everywhere and I have several videos explaining all this, including ISO and AV. You should know this stuff before even touching a DSLR.

  • @QQQQcon

well i dont know any of this stuff. And i am trying to get professional looking photos for my fashion blog. So there has to be a first time at some point. I wish they made a DSLR mannual for dummies, because not everyone using this camera are experts in the beginning.

  • @pinklilly29

and are you suggesting that if I am not well rounded in the terminology of DSLR than i shouldnt be using it?

  • @pinklilly29 there are tons of books like that, not to mention your camera manual which will tell you all this. I found a DSLR and photography book for dummies in a few seconds right on amazon.

  • @QQQQcon

Oh that is wonderful to hear! thanks for checking, and i'll definitely be putting that on my xmas list this year! :-)

  • I have a GoPro too

  • Awesome video thks

  • do you know of any cheap.. and good quality fisheye lenses for this camera?

  • @KyleCarver0 Cheap, and "good quality" can't be used in the same sentence!

  • oh i didnt know gopros have mics.

  • and yea.. 6:03 that's the quick control button.. no such thing as "quiet mode", ever used it for a quiet shutter??

  • @tomfewchuk who cares if I called it something a little different, everyone knows what i mean, dont be a smart ass

  • @QQQQcon hahaha this made my day

  • @QQQQcon my camera t3i doesnt even have all those settings in the menu

  • 1:07 actually when you're looking through the viewfinder with no custom focus screen installed it's like f/2.5..

  • what do think of the f/1.8 50mm lens ?

cuz i want to buy the 1.4 one but i find it too expensive for me to buy .. so would u recommend the 1.8 or it's not gonna be satisfying ?

  • @DrUnKoSOuL 1.8 is pretty much just as good.

  • @DrUnKoSOuL I agree with @qqqqcon. Trust me the f/1.8 50mm is a great lens especially when the price difference is so much.

  • can i shot a video 60fps ?

  • @OxSADEKxO yes in 720p

  • would this be good to use at a concert?

  • @18140 sure, not like a full frame camera but pretty good

  • how do you turn on the live view without having to go into the menu

  • @camrachik press the live view button to the right of the viewfinder

  • you probably shouldnt use a fisheye when explaining things or the stupid people might get confuss\ed

  • check out my music videos filmed with the T3i ! I have had mine since March <3 Great Quality

  • Is there a quiet shutter release mode? does it work well like say the D7000?

  • Is there a quiet shutter release mode?

  • Thanks man, I own this camera for about a month now and I know pretty anything about this camera already, but one thing I did not know was the Adobe RGB setting, I always wondered why my images turned out so grey!

  • Thanks for this. In Oz its the EOS600D but its basically the same camera I believe. Great review.

  • @moderick Yeah, it's the exact same camera.

  • Can you make one of these for the Nikon D7000? Thanks!

  • @TheGamerOnWii Jared Polin (Froknowsphoto) has already made a video explaining the functioning of Nikon D7000.

  • nice vid :)
