    6. hover pen on tablet n note pressure value JUST when it registers

    7. replace value into "PressureSafteyMargin" inside .tabletperfs file

    8. click restore!

Contact if u need more help.

  • @ebackbone Where can I find the "Pressure Safety Margin"?

  • @30Mak30 you can do it manually inside the .tabletperfs file or in the UI screen at the "About" button. If you can't find it, you have to ask a bit more technically IT inclined person to help you at your PC.

  • At the eraser part there is a black rubber disk and a clear plastic one. When I took the pen apart I accidentally sent the two pieces flying into my lap. Does anyone or the author of this video know where these two pieces go exactly?

  • im having the same exact problem!

  • Thanks a lot! Although I had the Model CTH-460 the video help me :D . And it´s really hard to pull the head...But is possible :D Thanks!

  • I had a different pen than this, the one that comes with the Bamboo Pen and Touch. For people struggling to get it open, you seriously have to pull really really hard to get it to come apart. No twisting, just using something rubber to get a grip and pulling that bastard. Took more time for that than it did for me to break it worse once I could get to the components.

  • @workcubed Did you manage to fix it?

My friend broke her pen and I would like to fix it :(

    Thanks!

  • @AnOnAQ8 It's doable. I sort of fixed it, by putting the eraser sensor in the tip. Was working ok, but I had to open it up again because the button wasn't functioning properly. In the process of opening it, I ended up totally destroying the thing. Use force at first, but be careful after. And make sure you take a picture of how it looks before you start messing with it. Would have helped me out. Good luck!

  • @workcubed Thanks for the reply!

Actually, I don't know what did exactly happen to her pen.. First I thought that the pen tip was broken and was pushed in (it disappeared all of a sudden!), but I guess the nib fell off because I inserted another one and wow it is good as new! Yay!

  • This may work, just whack the eraser part against your hand or something hard.

  • @guzguz21 Without opening it of course :)

  • ARGH! How in seven loving hells am I supposed to take off the god damn head?

  • I can not for the love of God take out the head. How'd you do it?

  • Same happened to mine, turns out one of the rocker buttons was broken and constantly pressed down, so i took it off, you can see it at 0:57, one of the circle things was just rattling around, took it out, all better.

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH! GOT MINE WORKING AGAIN!!

  • You can always ask Wacom for a new tablet because as you can see it's the tablet part that is broken.

  • uhg, im having that problem with my pen and touch. i cant find how to take apart my type of pen. there is really no other way to fix it other than to buy a new one???

  • For what happens to you, after opening the pen, you find a grey piece over a brown one where the coil is situated. Use a small screwdriver and insert it in the small square hole in it and pull it out. I had the exact same problem than you and after extracting the grey piece and put it back again, started to work 100%. The problem is that the small white piece in the grey one is a little bit pressing the sensor so when you put the pen close to the tablet, it thinks you are pressing it.

  • Thank you so much! I had a different problem, my eraser end was sticking. I had no idea I could just pull it apart with pliers (turned out one of the plastic bits inside was bent slightly, causing it to rub against the cylinder and create friction, which kept it from returning to its normal "off" position). Video helped loads. My pen is back to 90% effectiveness, the only problem is that I seem to have made the eraser end hyper-sensitive, but it's a lot better than it was.

  • My pen was jumping all over the place and selecting items by itself. The pen was hard to pull apart, but here is how. Take a blow dryer an heat up the spot where the pen pulls apart. Then when it is hot enough wiggle the end off, But do not twist the pen. Once off take a really small flat head screwdriver and and pop off the button located at the tip of the pen. I did this and then re assembled it. Works perfectly now. I an not sure what was wrong but just taking it apart fixed it.

  • Yeah thats the problem with my tablet pen.....I can hold it alittle ways above the pad and it still will color, select, and drag stuff off when it doesn't need to. and I thought it was just the pen nib needing replacing so I replaced it. And I just tried it again with the new pen nib in it and its even doing worse. Even the Coils are not broken. So it looks like I am going to have to replace the whole pen :'C

  • @ashtailwolf i donno why this happens i guess its just bad quality product with projected obsolescence so you would have to buy new....

  • Dropped it, the same, pen tip got screw, tried to super glue it, didn't work. As a last resort I switched the eraser coil with the pen tip coil (don't really use the eraser that much). Now it works perfectly, except the busted eraser coil.

I noticed the eraser head comes off incrementally, little by little, so don't try to do it all in one pull.

  • It took me an hour to pull the head of that damn pen off. Thank God for my leather gloves.

  • any suggestions on how to pull the head out? it seems impossible, i'm even considering to give it to a repair center just to see if they can remove it for me so i can glue the coil.

  • @LipzZ I just posted an easier way to pull that pen top out with a heat gun. See this page on link ; calchan.com/?p=704&cpage=1#comment-19333

Not my blog by the way only those posts, the rest is great easy info too. Hope this helps. :]

  • i just had the same problem.

though, i can't open it to save my life.
