@2:04 should you not have an underhook type grip on your left ankle with the right hand? Seems like if he postures up that would be an easy grip to break. Definitely easier than a guy who is just grabbing his ankle with a bicep curl...
None of my students bring their head down low enough to do any of these rubber guard moves. In the old school way you always grab the guys waistband to keep your hands in place and your back in an upright posture with the elbows always annoying the opponents inner thighs. They cannot be pulled down by the elbows or by using the head wrap thing your using. Any suggestions?
@EVILERNIE01 uhh... did you watch the same video as me? his partner did have an upright posture with his hands in place and his elbows on his thighs. if none of your students can break each others posture in their guards, you must have a pretty low percentage on triangles, armbars from guard, sweeps, etc...
I think a lot of people watch the vids of Eddie doing the twister in the old days when nobody knew what it was. Now a days we really have to have "no windows"
Rubber Guard? Twister? Blah! Ain't got nothin' on my Rex Control. With my jumping flying spinning twisting half-nelson iron palm ridge hand to omoplata combination fools be chokin' on their own regurgitated entrails yo. Break the wrist and walk away... it's just that simple. RKD, son. RKD. Forget about it!
Good detail breakdown!
