@auraldemolition i like the REAL lawn mowerman story. the short story. the one actually made by stephen king not that virtural reality crap. im talkin the one about an actual lawn mowerman who kills people with his lawn mower.
@annagarner81 "Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption" was in the novella collection "Different Seasons," included here. Did you not see the clip from the film adaptation?
I think I may own damn near every book this man has written ^^ Oh and the screen plays like Cats Eye, Creep Show and ect. Am in love with Roland tho...
I need to find this short story by stephen king! i read it once just loved it , but i cant recall the name of it , the plot is about a women who gets a phone call , than her husband dies of a heart attack and then years later she calls her old number trying to warm them to take him to the hospital. can somebody help me out.
If anyone is looking for interviews or other information on King and his related works, you need to buy The Stephen King Encyclopedia. It is by far the most vast and in depth way of understanding how this man writes what he does. However, you will never understand. He is who he is. Loaded with knowledge and random facts. It speaks on the various drugs he used when writing his books(I believe he is sober now). It has many interviews and talks of what the stories are about for those unclear. ENJOY
I have It, Misery, Pet Sematary, Firestarter and The Stand (complete and uncut edition). I have read Carrie and Dolores Claiborne (library books) and i'm partway through Misery.
Stephen King is one really sick bastard, but DAMN he's got talent! In my humble opinion, it's extremely rare to be able to write in a way so the reader is getting goosebumps every 5 minutes.
Christine and Desperation made me physically sick!
I also read The Shining, IT, Salems Lot ( my absolute favorite ), Night Shift, Different Seasons, Pet Sematary, Skeleton Crew, Four Past Midnight and I've got The Stand lying somewhere around here.
i have dreamcatcher(amazing book!), all of the DT books except the wolves of the calla, everything's eventual, and different seasons. i probably have another that i forgot about but i think that's all of them :) Stephen King is amazing, i wish i could write as well as him
I have: Duma Key, Tommyknockers, Rose Madder, The Dark Half, The Dead Zone and Dolores Claiborne. Waiting on another batch of seven books! By the way Duma Key is fantastic.
i has: Christine, Misery, Just After Sunset, Black House, The Dark Half, Dreamcatcher And Green Mile: Part 1:The Dead Girls i Am Currently Reading Christine And It Is Goddamned Great!
I have read: The Shining, The Dead Zone, Misery, Hearts in Atlantis, The Tommy Knockers, The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon, Dolores Claiborne, Carrie, and I will be finished Rose Madder in a few hours. I also own (to read): Needful Things, Firestarter, IT, Insomnia, The Talisman, Four Past Midnight, Desperation and a few others...Hmm what to read next!?
carrie, night shift, danse macabre, cycle of the werewolf, the wastelands, dolores claiborne, rose madder, wizard and glass, bag of bones, on writing, dark tower 5-7, colorado kid, lisey's story, and blaze
I have It, Salem's Lot, The Dark Half, The Shining, The Gunslinger, Misery, and The Dead Zone.
Stephen King is an amazing writer, I'd say. He knows how to add in good character depth, writers very good, and makes the flow of his books go nicely done.
Dude, you forgot one which many may have not heard of or have forgotten...An e-book called The Plant. It's gone now and I don't wanna explain why... I suggest some research..I read it when it was still around.
I've read The Shining, Cujo, Needful Things, The Tommyknockers, Pet Semetary, Misery, Christine, The Green Mile, The Dark Half, The Dead Zone, From A Buick 8, Desperation, Insomnia, The Gunslinger, The Drawing of the Three, The Waste Lands, and Wizard and Glass.
This is probably a stupid question, but when I tried to find Rage (before I knew it wasn't being published anymore) I found, instead, a collection of four Bachman novels. The first one in the collection is Rage. I want to know if it's the entire story or if it's been shortened (due to school shootings)?
It's the entire story. A cut version has never been published, the whole story was just allowed to go out of publication, I believe after Virginia Tech.
Awesome! You really got every single one of his works on there. I have 23 of those original hardcover books in good condition, can't wait til I track down every one. I've read all of King's books and a lot of em 2 or 3 times. Favorites are Bag of Bones, The Stand, It, The Dead Zone, Cujo, Misery, Salem's Lot, Rose Madder, The Shining and Geralds Game.

thanks for the Reply!!! :) Mmmm well, the story was about the "coming" of the Devil, and a world wide spread Disease, just a few people survived, and they used to have Dreams, some about an old lady in a farm and some dreamt about the devil itself. Please forgive me for my English =)
