My party used for this fight is Peco(tank of beastly stats), Momo(physical powerhouse with triple might and Shadowwalk), and Ryu who I made into an AP battery so that he can stay in Kaiser form for the whole battle. Peco just spams Super Combo(1-1.5k after using a few War Shouts, Ryu spams Aura and Bonebreak in Kaiser form(Aura is like 2-3kish, and Momo Stacks up the Mights and throws out some 2k+ Shadowwalks... all in all a fun fight

@Enzo2284 in the end i spent my time huting him and fighting without transforming, at lvl 80 or so i think.. it was fun to fight without transform and i find that kinda easier.. since i had 3 fire rings and could use lots of attack options :) however against the archmage that waas a different story.. had to play it RIGHT or else i had to leave rest and return again :D

Anyone else find it strange that final fantasy 10 (yunalesca) and how she used her people as sacrifices and giving themselfs up along with the battle and everything just before was a complete bloody ripoff of the myria battle, auron says nows the time to fight and make your choices and fight for the right to live (something to that extent) then you all fight to beat her rule.

I love how peco is so quiet through the game and then at the end he takes no shit off myria when you find out he's really yggdrasil. Everyone always picks rei over peco but peco is one bad ass character if you take the time to level him.

lol i used to fight the godess for fun and sometimes just to hear the music, I'm nearly 19 and I still play this on PSP :O

At one point i trained forever in the corridors before her after beatin her when ryu was about lvl 53-54, I trained all my characters up to about lvl 63 (not easy even with monopolize) and then fought her again every few lvls, the difficulty never really changed and after to finish her u get every single item back anyway (moon Tears ftw), awesome final boss theme and boss!

The monsters in the hallways before you get to myria's area were harder than myria. They at least managed to kill me a few times, unlike her. Maybe those monsters should have been the ones forming earth instead of her.

Ahh, one of my favorite series of all-time and the only rpg series that did dragons powers/transformations "right" imo (well, except the second one but it was still great). I felt the 3rd game had some pacing problems (the game felt rushed to me after the time skip) but I loved it otherwise. Myria was the toughest final boss in the series to me (although not the toughest enemy).

Hmmm. I wouldn't really call her a villain hands down. More like an anti-villain. I mean, sure she's killed off an entire race of dragons leaving only Ryu to be the last of his kind (counting Teepo until he and Ryo were kidnapped by Balio and Sunder and died later on), and kept civilization locked away from the rest of the world, but all in all she's just an overbearing bitch than just a mere villain.

Well the heroes agreed with you so I guess there's not really a point of arguing it, but the game has a really good design of letting you come up with your own conclusion to have 'evil' Myria really was as there's always two sides to the story.

Like the Elder said, the hero has always fought against Myria...but he doesn't have to. The ELDER of the dragons would know better, no? With BoF2 it was pretty clear Deathevn was just pure evil..but this one lets you decide what Myria is.
