I went to Vietnam in '67, and I was into all the music coming out of Laurel Canyon that year. Mama Cass, Byrds, when she was with the Bottom 3, Buffalo Springfield, Joni Mitchell, Jimmy Morrison, John Sebastian, The Band. What a great year, and what great memories.
This song is very beautiful. Love Stevens vocals in the early days. He has a writing style that grabs a hold of your heart. Love this song the most out of their collection. Country-folk-rock what ever it is. Does anyone know who Stevens influences are? I know blues music, but anybody in particular?
Just re-watched Legends of the Canyon, the best music ever to grace our lives.

I'm not sure what woman this song was written about, but I'd sure liked to have met her. Excellent vocals!

One of the most versatile groups ever. Kind of float between british poppiness and sort of an ethereal country rock sound.
