  • Bajia aap ke yea chaat main nay kal bunai or kha ker mujhay woh pakistan keh din yaad aa gaiy. jub ammi bilkul essi chaat Quran khuani per bunati thee. or mujhay khusi iss baat ki hui keh meray dono baitay jo US main born hain or 7 and 8 years old hain unhon nay chaat bohat shoak se khai and they loved it.     i made this today along with your gajar ka halwa, it was too good!

    the only thing i left out imli as the tamarind we got was concentrate and it smelled too horrible so decided against it, but it still tasted gorgeous without it, i also added yoghurt with mint, family loved xx

  • Great, you can always add what you like, papri is nice too and it can be made a mis plate with dahi vada.

    1. gram masala as somebody put red whole chilli and fenugreek. are there different gram masala recipe for veg. and meat.

    2. cabbage recipe.

    3. dishes with paneer.

  • basic old fashion garam masala is just made with a few ingredients. Black paper, cumin seeds, cloves, black cardamom, and cinnamon only. Adding any other thing in garam masala is not traditional recipe of Pakistani cooking. dont like cabbage :) naheen sikhaoon gi :)

  • aap kee kia baat hai bajia. you have your own vegetable garden!! when I get older and have a house I'll def grow my own too. Your comment on tomatoes sold in markets is very true. In the USA, tomatoes are picked when they are green and later "matured" in a chemical to make them red. Food Journalist Michael Pollan calls these "and idea of a tomato", because he says they aren't real tomatoes but what we believe real tomatoes should look like.

  • Yes I have my vege garden. Lots of dhaniya, podina, hari michah, bhindi, lauki and baigan growing these days. I don’t grow greens because snails love them and you can not avoid them. They walk all over greens and once I see them I don’t eat  lovely info thanks

  • I am very fussy about it. Working in kitchen from 25 years, not a single cup stayed dirty overnight in my kitchens basin. Never ever left anything dirty or on bench top when I am going out. thanks for liking. when i cook for a party i have one cupboard empty where i keep all my cooked food in dishes :) my kitchen is always empty

Got sick on Sunday and it's almost Sunday again but I'm glad I didn't use any of those proscription drugs this time, as I wanted to test my body's ability to heal itself plus with some help with desi stuff. I did follow your advice on Honey...everything is gone except cough...cough cough.
