I realize the economy sucks, but people also need to adjust to the changes within the economy. Borrowing more than a hundred grand to get a general studies type degree mostly is a waste of money.

I graduated, had about 57 grand in debt. But I knew that going in. what's the surprise? Been a year since I graduated and I'm still applying for my dream job. Though meantime I work two part time jobs (that don't require anything but a GED) and making decent money. My friends say I shouldn't lower my standards... fuck that, I've started to make payments on my loans and don't live with my parents... I'll get my dream job when I get it.
The cops and sheriffs need to organize to NOT kick people out of their homes for non-payment of the Uncle Sam sponsored Land-rent-property tax scam. Make it legal to work and reside without extortion payments. Hey, there's an idea! No extortion payments?! Why, theft is necessary to pay for services. Hmm - I wonder if that principle works for theft of sex, too....
@WeAreAll0ne1 Excuse me, I am one of those teachers. Are you really an idiot. Some of us made more money in the world but decided to share our ideas with others. Maybe we are in the minority but there are some of us.
Community College, you can take 2 years full load (plus more) for 10k. Transfer to a good school and apply for grants, you can get a good degree for next to nothing.

When I was a teen, I always wanted to go to college because I wanted a brain stem. Glad I was actually smart enough not to go to college. College grads are like robots. They can't think for themselves but only what the institution taught them.
Like you, I wanted to go to college because I want to have a college degree. Went to the Junior College in Idaho for two years before I have to quit because they have put me on Academic Suspension for low grade. That, plus I have to moved out of Idaho to California.
As for your commit on most college grads are like robot, they cannot think for themselve because they are being brainwash by the system. Thinking that the college degree could get only success in life which was a lie.
Well, you have to know what Universities were originally for. Originally...they were merely a center for intellectual discussion and knowledge. They weren't meant for career building. TODAY....our society has kind of distorted things, where they are being used as Trade Schools....!!! So that's the big discrepency. That's why you're learning so many things that aren't even part of your career focus. It's meant for intellectual development, not career. Companies need to know this.
@hivelocity100 ohhh they know..they just dont care, its either they hire a hand ull of US or lose THEIR job..all my liberal arts/humanities majors think about this and all my science/engineering majors do the math smh
college is not the way to go for anyone who do not want to be doctors, nursesor Law and if want to be in buisness go to a tech school (hands on) and know buisness get a building for less and have your own business college is a SCAM......in todays time bachelors degree means nothing your money will be wasted......I am dropping out this time and I will be successful it is to big of a GAMBLE
Definitely! Even if you were to graduate finding a job in your field of work is a gamble. That employer decides if they want to hire you and if they don't hire you, you're on your own especially if you never had a job before. The truth is no college let alone anyone else cares whether or not you have a job.
Everything that he talks about applies basically to anyone wanting to get into business. For me your idea of success wont work out. I need a college degree to get a commission in the Marine Corps, I need a college degree to get into law school after the Corps and I will certainly need a degree to get a job with upper management in an already respected and dominant company. If you don't want to goto college then looking for ways to better your chances in the working world is the way to go.
all this guy is trying to do is sell hope and probley is living on his credit cards my old boss sold hope like this online and is currently broke. california.successuniversity
is nothing but selling hope to people who dont have any.
I have an employment opportunity available at my company. It's a hip-hop record label; so, I am looking to build a street team of professionals to help me make my business a success. I am looking for Public Relations Counselors, Marketing Representatives, Lawyers, Songwriters, e.t.c. Send inquiries to Atheos Records, LLC. As long as you got an Associates degree I will hire you as an independent contractor!!!
@neanam Its a FUCKIN LIE! College is a SCAM! Its all designed to take your money, Useless bullshit classes! and there's no jobs anyway! People with master's degrees are working in Home Depot!! You will need a PhD to work in Fast food soon! and wash dishes!!
college sucks!!!! I went to a 4 year school and finished and all it got me was a 95,000 debt. even if I found a job making 50,000 to 60,000 it would take me over 10 years to pay back. I feel like crying
@disappears I like what you just said. All college does is make empty promises to people that they'll have work before or after they graduate. My mom and her friend both went to the same university and the both raked in thousands of dollars in debt. My mom's friend has a job with the government making $60,000 at the Dept of Labor but his debt from college other things is $90,000. That's almost six figures!

This is true except for certain fields. Medical is one of those fields where you just have to go to college. Teaching is another.
