  • If you ever come to New York City and you love this type of music, be sure to go to the Egyptian Club. Must be 21+ to enter and dance.

  • a few times it sounded like he said " we milked this city"!

  • My dicks all shitty...

My dicks all shitty from your asshole!!!

You can thank Opie & Anthony for that now I hear their version in my head when this song is on.

  • And to think Blender Magazine called this song "awesomely bad." I think I'd leave out the "bad" part and just call it "awesome." ;)

  • Yeah. Prologue here is right. They were playing corporation games.

  • Vurtne!

  • Rock and Roll........~!

  • In australia we like to sing this as 'We Built this city on Sausage Rolls".

  • @happynuts I think you mean, "sןןoɹ ǝbɐsnɐs uo ʎʇıɔ sıɥʇ ʇןınq ǝʍ"

  • @snowisthebestweather LOL DAMN RRRIGHT YEA!

  • How does one build on Rock and Roll?

  • this song makes me wish it was 1985. anyone else?

  • grace slick said multiple times how much she thought this song was a piece of shit

  • @frenchie2alfalfa Grace slick is very quotable. I remember her once saying that anybody over 50 should get out of rock n roll because you don't want old people up on stage doing etc etc. Love it.

  • @frenchie2alfalfa What is she supposed to do when they drive a truck load of money up to her front porch? Yeah, I think she sold her soul just a bit for commercial success. I guess she will get over it. Probably has.

  • I loved it when Homer Simpson was singing this while on Spring Break in Florida.

  • This video completely sums up the mid 80s

  • Jefferson Starship got alot of shit for this song becaue they "sold out". I think it rocks and it's great!!

  • i loooveee this song

  • this is the best worst song ever

  • Thumbs up for looking over your shoulder to dancing Lincoln.

  • Who the hell would dislike this? What's wrong with you?

  • I can understand hating it if it was overplayed... but sadly in my generation its not played enough

  • I hope they're not claiming that San Francisco was built on Rock and Roll. That's pretty absurd.

  • yes

  • i wasn't even born in the 80s but god i love 80s rock..and cheesy pop..just amazing..i also like early rap and 90s metal/grunge.

  • All the kiddies think lil wayne made this song

  • Several years ago Blender Magazine voted this song #1 out of the "The 50 worst songs ever."

I have 2 questions: Who the hell read Blender then and does anyone even read Blender now!?

  • @wolfcry2 knowing how to spell 'than' might be better

  • Best kind of music EVERR!!!!!!!! Oldies all the way!!!

  • Great song... HORRIBLE GREEN SCREENING lol

  • Even for an 80's song, this is pretty bad. I like most cheesy 80's music, but not this one so much. But hey, no disrespect to those who do like it for whatever reason.

  • Fuck yeah for dancing Lincoln

  • @butterfinger345 I wanna like that a lot more than one time.

  • @butterfinger345 fuckin republican

  • @wildboy789789

    Liberal, actually.

  • @butterfinger345 still a republican... first republican president, also started the bloodiest american war... in britan they freed the slaves by paying the farmers what they were worth... lincoln wanted to take the slaves and give the farmers nothing which started a huge war... i support american democrats all the way back to andrew jackson... back then there were many conservative southern democrats, but i still support the party just like the liberal northern democrats supported the union

  • @wildboy789789 Don't worry, i know this.

I actually said "Fuck yeah for dancing lincoln" cause i thought it was a little funny. Nothing political intended.

  • @butterfinger345 its ok, i figured u were just being funny... but i personally just cant stand lincon

  • @wildboy789789 yeah, lincoln made us free our slaves... now we have to pay them to do stuff (being totally sarcastic)

  • @landenrud both democrats and republicans in the north wanted to free slaves, while both republicans and democrats in the south wanted to keep slavery... want to know how britan freed their slaves? they paid for them and freed them, then made it illegal to own them... want to know what republican lincoln did? he made slaves illegal and tried to arrest all the farmers which caused a huge civil war... lincoln was an idiot, britan still makes fun of us for the civil war cause americans are dumb

  • @wildboy789789 Your the dumb one. The main reason for the civil war was not slavery although it was a cause but more of a power struggle between the south and north lincoln got elected without winning any states in the south. this made the south feel like their losing control of America to the northren politicians. Lincoln was not even going to end slavary but did when the south secceded.but still allowed slaves in the states that were not part of the confederacy.

  • @originalganster187 The south wouldn't even put his name on the ballots there, and he still won in 1860. That should have been a wake up call for the south. Their influence had deterriorated considerably by that time. Founding father Thomas Jefferson must have been afraid that a day like that would come. Seventy years earlier, he'd been instrumental in getting the nation's capital moved from New York city, to Washington, D.C. - a stone's throw from Jefferson's slave-holding Virginia.

  • @wildboy789789 You don't even know your american history or what your talking about or know why the civil war started and democrats back then were all pretty much for slavery after the war the south switched and became rebuplicans. if the soutth didnt try to secced they would have had many slavery for many more years.your statement about lincoln making it illegal and arresting farmers for causing the civil war is way off.

  • @wildboy789789 and if britan laughs at the united states we should be laughing way harder because who used to be the most powerful country in the world but then could'nt win any wars to hold in together britan. Who beat Britan for independence the united states and since that time america got stronger by winn ing wars and expanding the oppisite of britan

  • @originalganster187 whatever... we could use another civil war, the south needs to be exterminated again

  • @wildboy789789 The South has ALWAYS been the most backward, ignorant, intolerant, and anti-progress part of the United States. My mom and dad were from Mississippi, and I still say:

    TO HELL WITH THE SOUTH!!

  • @wildboy789789 I kinda like the south, at least along the east coast where its nice, and the people are, too, generally. I could do without the mountain dew drinking, trailer trash, though. That part of the south can go, along with texas.

  • I love the music from the 80's, 60's and 70's. Nothing gets better then this music.

  • @wolfcry2 - Than? Proper English my friend!

  • The song is better than the video...

  • AHHH Alas! a video w/ a guy doing "The Carlton" I <3 it!!

  • Always loved this song.

  • I love Starship!

    This is real music :D

  • @zwoosm because you don't need to be crazy about a song to like it! I started listeling this song because it was mentioned as 'the worst song ever', I'm not crazy about this song either, but I like to listen it sometimes!

  • not crazy bout this song, back in the day mtv played it once an hour. but the 80's were the shiz. whoever says the 80's blew, i guarantee they were born in the 70's.

  • @tdero if your not crazy about the song, then why the fuck did you put it on?

  • Rap Idiots need to Listen UP....we built this city on Rock & Roll, so Rap, or whatever other Crap name you have changed it to today, Hip Hop, whatever,,,same crap....Get out of our city, We built it on Rock & Roll!
