Before man started hunting sub species of tigers to extinct, tigers lived in a wide range of habits ranging from tropical jungles to Siberia. They are very adaptable animals.
They are part of the Save China Tigers' rewilding program. Because there are no places in China where these zoo tigers can safely practice hunting, the tigers are in South Africa in a fenced in reserve where they can learn to be wild again.
