  • @caryshj Thank you.

  • A terrific reading of Ruth's great poetry, Ken. And a very fine and well-suited accompaniment. I just love the "angels" line.

  • To be honest, Bruce, I like the bit about the angels too. Thanks very much.

  • Thank you, Aly.

  • This is an interesting development. I've thought along similar lines myself, but lack the nerve - very easy to get disastrously wrong. A change from the usual ukulele nonsense that turns up on youTube. It's a thumbs up from me. Hmm.

  • Thanks Ian. I appreciate that.

  • I thought I commented last night, but I can't see it anywere... Anyway, great stuff. You really know how to read poetry and Ruth sure knows how to write it!

  • Thanks R. By the way, my new uke will be finished in a day or so.

  • That's great news Ken - I bet you're so excited you can't sleep! All good things come to those who wait...

  • Thank you R :-) X

  • Beautiful playing Ken. Great poem too!

  • Thanks Deach.

  • Thank you Deach :-) X

  • Interesting how a change in the backing music makes this feel different. I liked the post on the haiku channel, but this is more atmospheric. Kind of the musical equivalent of onomatopoeia in poetry. I get the feeling of water and sunshine or maybe I'm just responding to the references to liquid and rain in the poem. Whatever it is, I like it.

  • Thanks for the positive comment, Don. muuch appreciated.

  • Hi Don, I think Ken has perfectly captured my feelings when I wrote the poem. I think the music makes it seem very passionate and powerful. He's made it come alive with his magic, like I knew he would do :-) X

  • Excellent !!

    Really great improvisation !!

    Good night Mr,Ken...

  • Good night, Tsutomu.

  • Excellent recital. Great poem. Bravo to both you and Ruth

  • Thanks Shane. Were you the one that gave it one star? Only joking.

  • Fine playing and a poet's voice with this one!

  • Thanks very much.

  • Superb!

I love the poem and your recitation and accompaniment are wonderful, the slightly dissonant chords work well.

  • Glad you liked it, Derek.

  • Thank you Derek :-) X

  • Really cool stuff Ken!!!

    Paolo

  • Thank you, Paolo.
