This song has my favorite lyrics "The police chase him home through the dark rainy night fluorescent jam sandwich with flashing blue light his mum waiting up she hopes he's alright but he 's wrapped round a lamppost on Saturday night" This it wot we need more grate lyrics.
Hated tis album when it first came out as it was soooo far rtemoved from their first album. The more I listened the more I grew to love it just the same..... pure genius! Still rings true today, like so many of their songs.... ageless!
This song inspired the first name of the Argentine rock band Soda Stereo. The three members of the band were obsessed with this song so they initially called themselves "Los Estereotipos". They later changed their name to Soda Stereo because their music "was like bubbles of siphon" but kept part of their original name.
@denise1289 Who cares? Never heard of them. For your future reference, please don't write any more boring comments like that as it annoys people. We are NOT interested!
Oh the momories! I remember playing this in my Vauxhall Chevette, whilst driving home from my 'first-girlfriends' house after a row (no I was not pissed, but felt like getting so!)
It was great to hear it again and thanks for providing the words (-:

My very favourite Special's tune, I think...or is it Ghost Town? Or Do Nothing? Or Your Wondering Now? Oh, fuck it, it's up there anyway!
