For a car that weights 5800 pounds, and this one probably has the 3.0 TDI which is a horribly small engine for that kind of mass, I think it did rather well...!
@koolaidkidz67 ive driven both the 3.0tdi and the 4.2fsi and they literally sound nothing alike. the 3.0 has barely any engine note with a loud turbo whistle, while the 4.2 has a loud n/a german v8 growl. lol just saying
q7 sounds like the 4.2fsi it doesnt have much off the line because of how much it weights but it does pull strong after that, clearly shown here. we have one in my household :)
Infiniti has a better acceleration from a standing position. In a straight line the Q7 would eventually catch up. It is all about the HP. I drive the FX35 and it beats any car in acceleration from a stop light in a multi lane street.
@1006Will Oh yes, the Cayenne Turbo is an exception. Not just any Cayenne but the Turbo version. Anyhow, I would not trade the FX for the Cayenne. There are a lot of Cayenne owners in our FX forum and common comments on the Cayenne is that it stays more in the shop than in the road. That is a quote of owners so I can't attest to that as a testimony.

X6 isn't even an SUV. there are guide lines that cars must meet to be called SUVa, like cargo space and form factor. No one calls the Honda Crosstour an SUV...
I think there was also a Mercedes SUV with an AMG tuned engine. that fucker was fast too.
