Danny Lee is correct. This is the #1 Bon era AC/DC album of all time. Best AC/DC period in my book............Overdose #1 track.............#2Down Payment Blues........Who don't think so?...Holler back man. Let's hash this out.........
Don't forget the flick of the switch ppl that's number one in my case then power rage , back in black, highway to hell.
But anyway there the best ROCK band on the planet, all I want is to hear Angus and the gang blow my mind with HIGH VOLTAGE ROCK AND ROLL LLLLL and I hope you do to.....
This has to be the most under-rated AC/DC album from the Bon Scott years. Too bad that "Sin City" is about the only song that anyone who isn't a big fan has ever heard.
Agree, this album is a forgotten album as it has no real "hits" with not a lot of recognizable pop hooks in those non "hit" songs, and a considerable overshadowing from the next effort. Personally if I was asked to put a list of favorite/best AC/DC albums Powerage would not be on top, but if the list was which one you listen to the most, Powerage would be number one. Its a good chug of beer!
I really hate the fact that just about every classic rock radio station ignores this album yet they play "highway to hell (song)" 5 times a day. I think this album is better than HTH, it's too bad it's forgotten in the radio world.
Powerage was such an underrated record that it's a damn shame. Everyone wants to talk about Back in Black or Highway to Hell. They all miss what ac/dc was all about - a damn good rock band in every facet. No one is the best at what they do; no Neil Peart on drums or Jimmy Page on guitar just solid kick ass in yer face music. Nothing wrong with that and no one did it better.

Gone Shootin'... Mike Judge kinda borrowed the riff to make Beavis and Butt-head's theme song.
