you guys are all dumb AF1 or 2 is the designation for vice or the actual president the rest of the time these planes will operate as "SAM *****" or "reach *****"
I know its a touch and go and its a 757 short they have a place to take him in greenbriar so they practice here. So go be a dick on someone elses video FAG!
That's a touch and go, not a landing. And it's not Air Force ONe unless the President is aboard, and I doubt he's wasting his time, doing touch and goes at Roanoke Regional.
I love this 757. Now see I would see this one as Air Force Three because Sec. of State Mrs. Clinton has been using it on her recent trips, over the last several months. I always thought the Air Force Two, the second 747, was the Vice-President's one. And yes, anytime the important person is onboard his/her plane, that aircratt takes on the Air Froce name. Yeah, that is right..
@MarcusLeepapi unless the president or vice-president is aboard that plane would it be air force one or two, when the cabinet uses those planes it be comes sam or special air mission and what ever tail number or code name they use, but there is only airforce one or airforce two.
@JeremyGafford Thanks for your comment. That 757 series is a good one. I just love the winglets. A few of United's aircraft has the winglets. Continental has a lot of them 757's with winglets. Yes, the many reports that I see on ABC World News that show Sec. of State Clinton always coming into some country on the 757 series or their C32 aircraft. Yes, I noticed that aircraft a lot when former Sec. of State Rice flew into cities. I know thery use some Gulfstream-450 and 550's as well.
@JeremyGafford I also remember when President Bush used this aircraft a few times as well.. Reporters were saying the he was using this aircraft to save fuel. Somettimes the news reporters are so crazy.. Thanks.
@MarcusLeepapi yeah from what I have read the President only flys on these (757's) planes if his destination has a shorter runway. The government also has a few 737's and some private jets that are painted in the same livery, thank you for your reply.
@JeremyGafford Thanks so much..Yeah, the our national livery ( colors) are nice..I am trying to look at United's new livery... Hmmm!! I like the presently current now. Not the white color. Well, well, what I can do. Changes come and go.......I miss PanAm Airways and TWA's livery (colors). I know, I know, I am getting old. Hehehehehjaja... Thanks so much... Stay cool....Have a cool summer.....
It is not Air Force 2 unless it is carrying the Vice President. That is a "call sign", not a specific plane. If it is empty or carrying someone else it's call sign is "SAM" and the aircraft "Bureau Number" (military version of a "tail number"). For example if one of the 747's (military designation VC-25) is carrying the President, it is "Air Force One". If it is not carrying the President it is "SAM28000" or SAM 29000" - the aircraft Bureau Number.
I love seeing that 757...President Bush has used that 757 for flying sometimes... It's nice.... I think it is either Air Force Three or Four.... I saw Sec. of State Rice use that and the 737 to go to Europe... Great planes....
