@PrimaryCosmicColours I'm hesitant to say I prefer it to the original as its one of my favorite songs of Bruce, but, I totally agree with your sentiment.. it's somehow updated or improved upon--it's one of the extremely rare instances where a re-envisioned song sounds better (or just as good) as the original.. that just never happens on covers of really good songs that don't need to be re-envisioned. Amazing.

Tegan and Sara wanted to do it differently than Bruce. I believe Sara talked about it in an interview about how she wanted it to be stripped down because she thought it was one of the saddest songs she had ever heard.
