  • Sometimes a boss can make it impossible not to hate your job...to stay in a place you hate is unthinkable to me...i'm disappointed in myself to have allowed THE BOSS to give me and others such misery as long as she has...with the internet and all put one foot in front of the other and create a website that your passionate about...put adsense and affiliate ads on it...learn SEO....& it will be a pleasure to say GOOD RIDDENS to our RUDE BOSS....i work in a church i must add.. such a hard reality!

  • I have an idea, everyone that really hates their job should quit right this minute. The first thing tomorrow morning start looking for that dream job. Do not go back to work until you find the job that YOU would like to do. But it is nice to dream. No one will do this, including me. I'm married with children, you gotta do what you gotta do. Your job sucks then you die.

  • I dont think she is out of touch at all? maybe she her self is so positive and blessed she doesnt go without and doesnt worry like we do but so what she deserves what she has. She has done her poor bit.

  • I know Oprah is trying to do good towards people, but she didn't get where she was through some motivational coach, she got where she was because the opportunities arose at the right times and she took advantage of them. Buckingham as well, he has made millions off of his books about success, although his success was derived by giving people advice on how to be successful. My point is, Oprah does good to people, but she is completely out of touch with the average person and is an entertainer.

  • So what?

  • So what? I said all I needed to say...

Take it or leave it I suppose. I'm just tired of her being so self-rightous, that's all I have to say.

  • So you're saying that Oprah "sold-out".... "Oprah was born in rural Mississippi to a poor teenage single mother and later raised in an inner city Milwaukee neighborhood, Winfrey was raped at age 9 and at 14-years-old gave birth to a son, who died in infancy"... of course she's now out of touch from the average person, but only because she's worked her ass off to be BETTER than the average person. Oprah isn't self-righteous, she's an inspiration.

  • so... you're saying the average person (ie. the rest of us) is somehow worth less than someone like oprah? i think even oprah would argue with you on that. i don't think that oprah is a bad person, and i do think she's done many great things in her life and continues to, but while the 'live your dream life' situation would be ideal for anyone, it completely disregards the fact that someone has to be a garbageman, work in a sewage plant, a warehouse, factory, or assembly line...

  • Yep, Oprah is better than a lot of us, but that doesn't mean that your average person is "worthless". I simply choose not to give into neutrality. There's nothing evil in admitting that some people made better choices in life than others. And I must say, I do appreciate your well thought out response. That's a rare quality on these youtube message boards :-)

  • well thanks, but i still disagree with you. :) especially if you're just being devil's advocate. i believe everyone is created equal, like it says in the constitution (and i'm not even american) and whether or not people make good choices is dependent on a lot of things, environment, education, family background and affluence among them. i think oprah worked hard to get our of her poor situation, but she also sold out and did trash talk at the beginning of her career to get where she is today.

  • oprah's just like the rest of us. she worked hard but don't most of us? and get nowhere - bad luck, good luck, opportunity or lack thereof, call it what you like, but life's not fair, and therefore i don't think it's fair to value someone on their success, or what they've been able to contribute because of it. but my point was, sometimes she tells it like it is, but other times she tells fairy stories, and she's better off not doing that, and showcasing her amazing - real - guests instead. ;-)

  • I guess I have a hard time feeling sorry for others misfortunes because I myself rose up "the ghetto" to become a successful business woman. Get this... both my parents came to the US illegally in the 80s, I lived in Compton, CA until I was 14, and 99% of my classmates were thugs or drug dealers (all thru high school). But no matter how many times those ghetto kids made fun of me or threatened me for studying, I didn't give in. I earned a scholarship & degree from the Univ of So Cal...

  • that's an amazing story, and nothing i've said belittles it, and i congratulate and admire you for your hard work, overcoming obstacles and success.

  • Why thank you :-) Having lived in the ghetto for the first 21 years of my life taught me now to feel sorry for any inner city citizen because most people are in the situations they're in because they didn't think logically and made terrible choices. It's tragic, really. OK, I'm off my soap box now :-)

  • lol, i completely understand, i really do - some of my friends became prostitutes and may be dead now, and i understand not having sympathy for people who don't think, take care of, or are responsible for themselves. and there are people who are beyond help and are evil, but i think most people want to be given a chance they never get, or get a bad go, and it makes them hard and jaded.

  • even so, i'm not talking about those people, just... someone has to shovel crap for a living, and i don't think they're worth less - maybe even more. ;) and to be honest, i haven't found my dream job, and i really doubt i ever will. i hope so, but i've had so many crappy job experiences and deceitful bosses, it's left me highly cynical about the work world, what's out there, and what's realistically possible. i used to be an optimist, but now i'm a realist. i can still hope, but we'll see.

  • pt. 2: and i don't think anyone would say they are passionate about or 'called to' any of those things. while her actions are mainly good, i think most of oprah's teachings just don't leave room for reality (and she of all people should know that.) life's tough, and not everyone's going to be a princess or find their dream job, regardless of talent or education. it doesn't mean we shouldn't try, but promising it so profusely as to almost make us feel guilty if we haven't or can't is unrealistic.

  • pt. 2: ... climbed the corporate ladder, and by age 24 I was already making six figures. Do I think those folks from the ghetto are beneath me... HELL YES! Because unlike them, I chose to do something about my unhappiness. Am I a sell out... HELL YES, and I'm damn proud of it too, lol. That's why I look up to Oprah. So I don't feel this way simply to be the devil's advocate. But then again, to each his own :-)

  • and while you're right in that some people don't make smart choices and continue to make stupid ones, i'm not really sure it's all their fault, all the time, and for everyone. i know because my life was changed by a mentor, and i could have been on the wrong path as well, i was just given an opportunity, and some never get that. i also don't think you sold out just because you wanted a better life, unless you admit to rising the 'easy' or dishonorable way.

  • finally, some things to consider: are lawyers more valuable than construction workers? it's the old blue collar white collar debate. isn't holding down a steady job to provide for your family while being ordinary still honorable? especially despite hating it? or is glamour what's in these days? what is the measure of success? does family and kindness and humanity suffer at its expense? and is career and money now america's first prioity? but anyway... good, no, great for you.

  • I totally see your point now... I have nothing for respect & admiration for folks to work hard to provide for their families. But often times I get so frustrated with people who are "down on their luck"... I just want to grab them, shake them, and yell "not happy? get off your ass and do something about it!" I see it so much, especially at work. But good point. And, for the record, I rose up the honorable way, thru intellect & hard work (I'm not pretty or bitchy enough to be unethical, lol)

  • and i totally see your point, and i have no defense for people who sit on their butts and complain while doing nothing, they're on their own (most of the time - depending on background, ability, & circumstance.) though sometimes i'm not sure there's enough social structure out there to help these people... it's hard either way, but that's another discussion. as i said before, i'm talking about average, normal folk, reality, career prospects, & tangible 'dreams'. ;) (and again, good for you. :))

  • I hate my job so much !!!! i feel like a slave !!! HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

  • I thought I had no choice but to stay at a job that no longer made me happy. Quite the contrary, it was making me miserable. One day I gathered the strength to take a step towards a dream I didn't even know I had until I resigned. Since then I published my first novel. Writing gives me a sense of purpose and fulfillment I never received from any of my previous jobs. Everyone has the ability to make their dreams a reality. I am proud to have found my passion and I want to share it with the world!

  • Good for you! Gave you a thumbs -up!

  • Women (and men) fight their own type of war, caught between men (and women) like Marcus who encourage them to be happy, and men (and women) who use them for whatever ends.

  • You obviously don't know much about Oprah and her life to make such terrible comments! In answer to your question she has done a lot for me and thousands if not millons of others. Oprah HAS NOT made money off other people, she has worked dam hard to get where she is and she deserves every dollar she has. Oprah DOES know what it is like to be average as she hasn't always had money, so I suggest that in future you should only comment on things you know or have a clue about!

  • obviously you have anger mgmt issues. oprah promotes that fact that she dedicates so much time and money to encourage others to follow her lead. she was not born with that money, she made it herself. if i am wrong and all she is about is making money, well at least she did it while helping alot of people along the way. you sound so scorned with all you hostile words and cursing out someone you have never met. maybe you need to really have someone enlighten you to be more understanding.

  • #1 please refrain from calling anyone a "b". Also you do not know Oprah personally. I respect what she has done for so many, especially after Katrina. She donated millions, what did you do? I may not have millions but I do community service, donate money and my time to helping others, just like she does. She tries to uplift others, not everyone can say that. Oprah grew up with less than I did and she has made something great of herself. I admire and respect that. Also get your facts right.

  • hey she is to wealthy to give a damn !!!!!!!!!!

  • and you are too silly to know anything, you shouldn't feel so hostile about someone you don't know. what if we talk mad comments about you.....it wouldn't be fair because we've never met you. you come across as the negative type by your comment.....you come across as an idiot when you say stuff about someone on their own channel. why watch what you don't like?

  • I am so lucky that I have my passion and I pursue it - it truly is wonderful. I am a computer animator, in fact I just finished an animation where I recreated Van Goh's starry night (you can see it on my channel if you like), My favorite thing about once you find your passion (aside from knowing that you are contributing to the world) is that it continues to grow and amaze even yourself. If you apease it, it will constantly evolve. I hope for everyone finds theirs, what ever it may be.

  • I am happy someone found their passion. I am still looking for mine. I will have to go to her web page and look up the info from this show and apply it to my life. I love computers, but have not found my nich. :(

  • What a douchebag

  • I want to be on her give away show!!!!!

  • Now go to the bookstore and buy: JENIFER FOX' YOUR CHILD'S STRENGTHS. Marcus may have great ideas to help adults -- but Jenifer is all over how to help children.

  • What I don't get is why Harpo has a bug up their ass about anyone else posting their silly show, but Harpo does it themselves.

  • Simple copyright infringement. If your videos are everywhere else, they won't come to watch them here.

  • Were waiting HERE in "THE RAIN OF 4"!!!!!!!!!

    "UnderApriciaTED"

  • GIVE "US" A HUG OF FUCK OFF UPRAH!!!!!!!

    "SoLice"

  • Norrna the retarded has the solution to a bad job - simply do not work. She is retarded and lazy.

  • hello Oprah's youtube person,

    hope you are doing ok.

Vern, from the featured video (a single seed in NC)wanted me to e-mail you to show you his children's books that teach them to grow their own food.

    thanks for looking

sorry for spamming your site ;)

  • stop reporting your troubles to this lady. shes not god... she cant help you

  • Blashpemy. If she was "God" material, nobody would know about her and she'd hold no monetary wealth, yet she'd do every good did she takes so much credit for...again, without anyone knowing about her.

  • ok well not real god obviously, but she's like todays Florence Nightingale. I didn't mean to come across as using blashpemy, i respect your religion and beliefs very much, very sorry xxx

  • 80 hours every two weeks averages to a 40hr work week. Any minute past 40 hrs is considered overtime and they pay you your hourly wage plus half. Thus the reason for cutting your hours. Just be thankful you dont average 35 hrs a week like me. I WISH I can make 40hr each week. Actually, I wish I can make more money working less hours. Damn, I just wish I can win the lottery then I can open an orphanage, help the poor and buy my mom a house.

  • part 2 :

i work to pay bills and

    can't save toward my future.

will i grow up in a cardboard box or in my car after my parents past away???? "i dont want to... please help me out?

    (im not asking for much)

ps - i help the poor people in my area , 3 guys that live at a gas station in tampa fl.

help me - help them again

  • Money making scheme! What does this guy know that I can't tell you? Is it Tony Robbins? I give him credit though... he's using his accent to target women who will spend the $ for the workshop kit. Most are just infatuated with him as they use him and his BS techniques to try and fill empty personal voids. You know they all think he's sexy and want him, but will all have to settle for the British dildo that comes in the kit. You are good man, sell people when they are at their most vulnerable.

  • One of my friends went on a date with someone who worked for Tony Robbins. He was an "A-HOLE" to say the least! He took her on a date and with all the money he "supposedly" has, he didnt even offer to pay for her meal. That is just one example. But point in case, they are supposed to be so "wealthy" but they are so very cheap.

  • Ditto what ShyGirl said :) Thanks O!

  • I can't wait to check this out. I am sick and tired of not living within my giftedness. I thank you, Oprah, for opening up bringing people into our lives to enhance the quality of life and give us a new awareness. Growth and Change is Great. YOU have always inspired me so much.

  • whens opreah gonna blog nude?

  • MARCUS BUTTFUCKINGHAM

  • from 100 thing of Oprah I like 75.like

    1-I like her positive energy.

    2-I like her Strong personality.

3-I like her way to think about religions.

and 72 more things the I like about Her.

  • Please look at what akvo energy is doing on youtube.com

  • freeking haters... i love oprah.

  • apparently now a days if you have an British accent or any other kind you become an expert on TV.take your passion seriously ? what are you talking about? ....people cant afford to quit their jobs to follow their "passions" they have to pay bills, feed their kids... get in touch with the real world . life is though. not everybody can live live Oprah!

  • I hate my job, but i hate Oprah even more.

  • Oprah, is scripted! They are not her words, this is a planned TV show to gain ratings and viewers.

  • aren't you a genius? ... of course it is planned, it is a tv show in the end.

  • Yes, and yet she think shes something that she isn't.

  • As do I.

    Fuck Oprah.

  • oprah 2 billion and 50 million dollar house is not enough for you!

  • Geez. I hope Oprah doesn't read any of these comments. I don't know much about Oprah and don't know why people dislike her

  • I think Oprah is full of herself

  • Yea quit your job and become a stripper or maybe a hooker or something. lol j/k

  • $50M, $70M--what's the difference? It's still excessive. You really think she was intended to succeed that way? If I exploited the hopes and fears of my viewers, pushed product on them that I get paid for endorsing, and otherwise did what she does now, I would have a better life, too, if my success was on the backs of others.

It's a comment on the expensive BS she is pushing. Of course, she lost a lot of people the minute she dived into politics this year. So watch if YOU need to. I won't.

  • What country do you live in?This is America, she is just a very, very smart business woman. Why are you here anyways?. You call endorsing products 'exploiting the hopes and fears of viewers'; people are FREE to ignore her and her endorsements as they are free to not watch her show, yet, decade after decade they keep growing in number. If someone like you does not like her, all they need to do is ignore her and stop hating.

  • This makes me sick.

  • Same here..

  • OH, give me a break! If Oprah was offering me a job where I could work, have zero-day insurance and still home school my kid, that would be great. Telling me I could be happy working for a name-calling, butt-munching troll at slave wages isn't going to cut it. Oprah has jumped the shark and it is going to bite her in the butt.

REAL advice, girl! No more of this cutesy new age crap! Not all of us have a $50M mansion to retreat to when we feel "down". Hell, I don't even have patio furniture!

  • I will check it out. Thank you for the info.

    Dae Dae

  • czytamksiazki,

its easy to say all you need is love, some job, then improve. but what happens when you have love, your job cuts hours, doesnt increase wages, the cost of living goes up, and theres no room for advancement? what then? do you relax and take a walk on the beach? come back to reality.

  • Sexist bastard.

  • I truly hate all the "gurus" and con artists. ALL you need is love, some job, then improve at your job, relax, have friends, help out someone...take a walk on the beach, go to the park, feed some birds, read something that interests you. And DO NOT worship these "gurus", they poison your mind.

  • is he just another british speaking idiot or is he for real

  • ru just another youtube posting dumbass? or are you for real?

  • prefer Type at home job! no boss anymore

  • I saw Oprah in his workshop. Does that mean she doesn't like her job?

    LOL

  • 14th :D

  • l need help as well as many others in the Sickle Cell community. We are discriminated against before being given the chance to blossem. Which really sucks being that our life spans are drasticly cut in half. The majority want to provide productive lives and find ourselves not being given the chance.

  • what about the men?

  • @embox08 oprah only tells women what to do

  • @embox08 He has plenty of material out there for men as well. This workshop and the book he wrote for this was specifically for the women. If you're actually interested in his work, you should look up "The Truth About You". It's not gender specific.

  • I'm doing just that!

  • niiice...
