  • Man looks at nature and says 'Fuck you. I am the king of this castle.'

  • State Highway 88 over Carson Pass in the Central Sierras looks like that this spring.

Hwy. 88 is supposedly an "all weather" "all-year" mountain highway but this year the Caltrans snow plows simply couldn't keep up.

  • i want one!

  • Sounds like its got a cummins engine ?

  • now thats a true snowblower :)

  • I assure you it is quite usual to see a lot of snow in june in the Sierra's. I've backpacked up there in June (to beat the kids still in school) for many years and rarely have I seen a trip without plenty of snow. One trip, my brother and I were snowbound in a 2-man tent for four days - luckily, we get along. I've seen 8 feet of snow as low as 8000 feet (elvation) in the second week of June. Snowshoes are a must.

  • here THAT DIESEL PURRR, like a kitten!!

  • let it snow let it snow let it snow

  • Wish we could put all that snow in Al Gore's Yard !!!

  • @Nameless41000 this is hardly unusual in california, i've seen it happen 3 times in the last decade.there were actually chains required in may on hwy 50 and int 80 over the summit.

  • the video was added on the 4th of may 2007, i take it that it was a video you had laying around from june the year previous as on my calander may comes before june?? hmmm?

  • Now I know where to go during the summer, to escape the heat. It's snowmobilin' time.

  • with larger snow total than normal, road to Lassen Peak won't be opening until July this year!

  • @sedna90377 and with the budget cuts that are certain to come, it won't be open at all this year...

  • great powder conditions after this! haha

  • yeah i want snow for my trip this may 22 to lassen, and what cheap hotel or motel can i stay to?

  • thats not so much on Grossglocknerhochalpenstrasse in Austria they had 70 feet of snow in 1953

    In Mid of June

  • .......40 feet of snow is global warming???

  • @shackashackado Think! Globwal warmin is meaning more snow and rain. You know that warm air contain more humid. You understand? Not this 0,5 C you feel. Thats not the clue.

  • Comment removed

  • @shackashackado no, it's climate change

  • @shackashackado LOL no 40 feet of snow is heaven :).

  • proof of global warming, Algore was right

  • Climate and weather are not the same thing. That's the first thing you learn in meteorology class.

  • I want one I want one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I wonder if he will come and do my driveway next time???

  • *Sunny* California.

  • i've been over tioga pass in august before in a blizzard where they had to close the road. it can snow ANY time of the year at that elevation. i remember one year, they had over 1000 inches of snow in a 12 month period.

  • That snowblower is small comapred to the Wausau WI snow removal crews snowblower, theirs is 6' tall 6' wide 3 augers tall, and can load a standard truck in 30 seconds!

  • Lets see a video of it then.

  • aww yeah listen to that cat under load awsome

i was there in june, 20 feet of snow where they closed the road. There was still a 1000 foot climb to the top. First time I ever played in the snow in June

  • snow in june?

  • holy crap, that's alot of snow!!!

  • Caterpillar kicks Butt! again =)

  • I was there in mid September that year. There was still quite a bit of snow left in some areas. I doubt it all melted away before winter. They always get loads of snow up there, but the winter 05/06 was mad.

  • Nice video, man. Congratulations from Argentina!

  • Emm, its might be impressive - but blowing the snow up the hill?? Bit of a no brainer to me.

  • @TofferB so genius, where should they have started? i don't see any wings on that caterpillar.

  • @craniostomy

oft, dragging up an old comment - not sure what your getting at, all i mentioned was throwing the snow uphill didn't have much logic, unless you can tell me otherwise - what I try to imply was by throwing the snow uphill this increases the likelihood of drifts. And so to answer your question - i think.... throw the snow downhill or take away off site.

  • woooooooooooooow

  • in wich country is this? for having snow like that in june...

  • Northern California

  • thanks :)

  • Oh my god! I LOVE that park! I've been there so many times!!!

  • i think i found me a new snoe plow fellas

  • nice toy!

  • I want one of those!!!m-

  • got snow?

  • imagine sitting there where the snow comes out weeeeee plop....

  • Cool vid. Call me ignorant (I live in Australia, it's the driest inhabited continent in the world!) but won't all that snow being spectacularly blasted up the slope just shift back onto the road?

  • not with a snow blower, it compacts the snow, so it wouldn't slide.

  • Wow, very nice Machine. Very Cool.

  • if her aint careful he'll plug her up

  • I love stuff like that, thanks for posting.

  • Nice grunt from the loader
