PE 1 was so awesome with the mitochondria story line. PE 2 was a little off for me adding in odd soldier assassin things, I couldn't really understand it. PE 3 seems like they decided to take Dino Crisis 3rd energy technique, uses it on the Diablos from "Quantum" to travel back in time with tenticles...... whatever happened to the evolution and mutations from the first game that made it so amazing, not to mention the amazing boss battles as well as the tower in the first game that held them!
I have this, and it's not that bad. I am a huge PE fan, and I'm just happy there's a new game.
I love the Mission based gameplay, it's PERFECT FOR A HANDHELD.
What I don't like is, Amnesia or no, (haven't finished it yet) Aya Brea turned into a obedient fragile broken mess of a woman who has a strong man to listen to and take orders of.
It's Other M all over again....Unless... I really hope she gets her memory back and returns to being a strong female like she was in PE1 and 2.

just got the game and fought my first boss. the game looks good and plays good. action is faster paced than other PE games and i love having backup from soldiers and ammo supplies are scarce enough that i have to think about my shots. camera is good and i like not having the confined fights there were in the previous games I LOVE THIS GAME..only actual reminder of this being an eve game so far is Aya
The narrator in this video blows. He doesn't bring anything to the video clip. So boring sounding and the way he narrates might as well be Bob Saget from his AFHV days.

@ROBisCLEMO86 most of the staff from ff7 is working on verses and dont expect another FF game for 8-15 years they said they want ff 13 to last years spin offs movies and other crap is in the works. and i find that just dumb i loved ff13 but there was about 40+ hours removed from the game so that was just annoying

Carnt wait for versus though. As long as they dont use a weak script and poor voice acting, it should earn them some high points.
As for final fantasy 7 re-make I think I can wait for it anyway, I'm sure square will remake it when all these up and coming spin offs and movies sink them even further and they need to claw vad some of the old fans.
The downfall of Square started with the release of FF7. From then on, they had too much money and forgot who they were. They've produced nothing but suck since, with the exception of KH, which was fun, but then they've driven that into suck, too.

I mean it sure helps that the remaining 8% is Eidos games they've published, and all. Deus Ex is surposed to bring in allot of revenue but they keep delaying its release. And lets not forget that games like ff14 take allot of money to make and never really take off. (not to mention it's contending with capcoms MHP3rd and frontier)

SE stopped making great games they are targeting kids they ruined the secret of mana series and now parasite eve its now Mass effect/Fear 3 and they keep making games on psp there lazy. its too much work for them to remake final fantasy 7 hell FFXIV has a retarded amount of bugs in it crazy amount of lag.

@doomtrigger Im not 100% sure but I think the creator or director of ff7 is currently working on ff13 versus.
SqareEnix still havnt said no to a ff7 remake just that they can not, while they are working on versus.

@ROBisCLEMO86 most of the staff from ff7 is working on verses and dont expect another FF game for 8-15 years they said they want ff 13 to last years spin offs movies and other crap is in the works. and i find that just dumb i loved ff13 but there was about 40+ hours removed from the game so that was just annoying

Carnt wait for versus though. As long as they dont use a weak script and poor voice acting, it should earn them some high points.
As for final fantasy 7 re-make I think I can wait for it anyway, I'm sure square will remake it when all these up and coming spin offs and movies sink them even further and they need to claw vad some of the old fans.

The downfall of Square started with the release of FF7. From then on, they had too much money and forgot who they were. They've produced nothing but suck since, with the exception of KH, which was fun, but then they've driven that into suck, too.

@ROBisCLEMO86 Oh you sure showed me. Their billions in sales surely reflects in the fact that they've cut their profit forecast by 92%. I mean it sure helps that the remaining 8% is Eidos games they've published, and all. I mean, their sales numbers can only show a $12 million profit for the year, that's good, and in the billions, right? $12 million is billions?

Deus Ex is surposed to bring in allot of revenue but they keep delaying its release. And lets not forget that games like ff14 take allot of money to make and never really take off. (not to mention it's contending with capcoms MHP3rd and frontier)
I think Square are just going through a bad patch caused by some poor desitions and ufortunate circumstances.

I mean, after Final Fantasy The Movie, they were doing so great they didn't have to merge with Enix, and at the start of 2009, their stock price didn't evaporate, so they didn't have to merge with Eidos. It's such a good thing that they've been doing so awesome for so many years that their current huge hope isn't a game made by another company. I mean, it's a good thing their profit forecasts have been under $100mil for 7 years, right?

The movie was a bad idea, but that was square pictures/movies that made that pile of shit. Square are now just trying to make the best out of a bad situation. There games wont be the same as they were and my suck a bit but atlest show some respect and support instead of turning your back on them. Doing that wont make them any better, just worse.
Any way I had fun completeing this game.

Man, they should have made Aya the main villain of this game. It would be Epic and prevent all this memory loss thing. Other than that, we could have Eve (Aya's clone, from PE2) as the main character in order to prevent "fan rage".
In other note, I know Aya ain't a badass like Samus, but I thought she was I bit tougher than that... I hate the "Other M" approach this game is having. It seems Japanese only like submissive and delicate women, even when they have powers beyond imagination...

I wanted to see her fire off a couple of flame balls, being a pyromaniac and all. I miss her Mito powers already. Sure, she looks like Cloud's sister, but hopefully the game will be an okay play. I want the other characters back, Daniel, the japanese scientist, Little Eve, Kyle---but Melissa is too crazy to revive, so leave her be. Alright 3rd Birthday, Don't fail us now! XD

This does not look fun, . An RPG is built on story, which they had, then ruined. This is some Neo Jersey Shore Gamer bullshit. The Story's botched and Aya looks like a mediocre whore now. I could have stared at the cover of "Wet" if I wanted a character void of class. Does anyone know if Nomura is still involved in the design? He's been getting worse since K. Hearts 2. Yea, this is for the BROS... :(

Never played PE 1, but I was watching my dad playing PE 2 when I was I kid. Bringing so many memories back, I still got the game and finished it for some weeks ago. But hey, I think square ruined the PE 3rd Birthday even more than Capcom with their Resident Evil 5. I'm a huge PE and RE fan.
