@Kaslor oh of course it isnt the way people fight in real life.. anywhere. its just absurd. the only realistic sword fighting ive seen is in seven samurai and yojimbo/sanjuro (kurosawa films in general but i cant remember how hidden fortress or the others were..). they last in seconds and nobody really has a chance to block, the reason for them being accurate is it wasnt choreographed.

Choreographed combat made so that it looks perfectly real, they really are swinging the swords, they just know that the other person will block it. This requires a lot of athletic ability and training, and they are real swordsmen, and could kick your butt if they were trying to hurt you, ok. So shut up, and take it for what it is. The title is a bit misleading, but don't be stupid.
