spartanrace you give a bad name to the spartan's you need to up the game if you want to call your self spartan. It looked like a dulled down military opstical corse. you should make it hard were only the strong make it and a lot of people fail, cause only a few can be spartans.

Although you are most likely correct on the level of difficulty brought by the Spartan Race, you must also remember that it is a business. The point of business's is to create revenue and profit. I see little to not point in running a business that only few can attend. I'm sure you can agree with me.

Listen, I'm not endorsed by these guys, but if you want a company to earn revenue and profit, you need to create a demand. How do you do that? Several ways.. You could create name that will attract attention. Then it needs to appeal to people of a variety of ages and it needs to be something that people can do so that the target audience is broad enough for revenue to peak. Anywho, not going to start a debate here. 'Nuff said. You guys are smart.

Well yes it is a business but have you seen the show on G4 called ninja warrior? Its a multimillion dollar show and only 3 people out of over 100,000(dont quote my numbers, but the 3 is right) have made it. Its the challenge, and thrill that drive people to do it wether they lose or not.

I'm not sure if they already do this, but they could totally expand it and take the winners and drive them through much more difficult challenges and get like national champions, that way you weed people out, but only by raising the winners, so no one feels bad and you still make a profit :)

+1 This is an excellent point. In fact, I could be wrong, but I believe that the top several winners of each area get to compete in another type of race at some point.

But yeah, a tier system would definitely pump people up to increase their athleticism and strive for greatness. That would be great.

@jdubsky there is a tier system, spartan sprint 3miles 10-12 obstacles top 3 men and females get free entry to next level, Spartan Race 8 miles 15- 17 obstacles top 3 male and female winners get free entry to next level, death race which is a complete surprise till day of event, but only 90% of people that enter death race fail
