This method was pretty much fixed, the method I stated worked at that point in time. If you read the info hyperlink.

I stated youtube has LQS-Syndrome hence they didn't like such good encoding at that res, they fixed it.

i love the quality, but it sucks that they've chosen to re-encode ALL videos. guess it saves them space and bandwidth in the long run tho. would've been nice if we could still do it but with some restrictions, like say the total bitrate must be under 1000kbps...

I'm guessing youtube has altered it's process when uploading flv files since the first week of february. In other words ALL video formats are now downgraded including FLV's so this maybe the lat HQ video we'll see from youtube that is manually encoded to flv.

I uploaded like 50 HQ videos before the change, so at least there will be some great quality videos on Youtube still. It's a shame, though. The difference of quality is simply staggering.

I have uploaded an flv and as far as I know it seems that youtube didn't encode it which audio stream was in high quality, it seems that if the flv video surpass a specific file size youtube will reencode it
