Hey Jeff,

That is one hell of a video.. cool !!! I have got to get a good camcorder. We lived just outside of Moose Jaw, SK for a couple years. We owned and ran Mortlach Sweet Shoppe in a little town called Mortlach, from 2007-09. I don't miss the SK winters at all, but we have some real good friends there.

All of the most spectacular lightning storms I've seen on YouTube are all Canadian. The videos from Florida are all no better than a merely average Alberta thunderstorm.

To whatever extent greater damage is done by storms in Florida is due to poor construction practices down there - such as Hurricane Andrew, which exposed to everyone that they "forgot" that you're suppose to actually attach roofs to houses and not rely on gravity.

Nice video. Reminds me of a time we were in Texas on a road trip. There was lighting ahead, and we thought cool we'll get a little rain. By the time we got to the rain it was so bad, everybody on the road pulled over because we could not see out our winsheilds. Got a room in Vegas, Tex. The motel we stayed in was used in the movie " No country for old men".

i love it, too bad we haven't got those long wide roads in Holland for miles and miles and miles. Here we have offcourse big roads/highways but every few miles there's a hotel, gas station, city whatever. I love thos long stretched endless roads you find in de US etc.

Far out, that lightning is unreal, the few times we have had to ride through storms here in Australia and lightning I have not enjoyed one little bit, so didfferent to being in a car, scary stuff.

We all (bike riders) must be crazy.

We just keep on doing it.

At least we know we are alive.
