  • Where the alternate picking?

  • @ViniciusLaiho I do a lot of alternate picking in this song. I do not do it at the part where Kirk joins in because I need to make a semi-pinch harmonic to make the distinctive sound, and I can't do that if I alternate pick. At the riffs I do not do alternate picking, because you get harder sound by picking down at all times. That's what Metallica does too.

  • horrible phone..

  • OW good brother! too good! you have improved a lot since the last video! I was jealous here ... hahaha thanks!! we want new videos right?

  • @16agent16 Thanks man! :)

  • This song is most definitely played in full D. Watch Metallica play it live, it is absolutely full D. Stop believing the tab websites, they're not always right.

  • Every fuckin guitar video on youtube has some dumb ass asking for tabs.....

  • @Brndnrchrdsn85 Haha :D Thanks man, made me laugh. Sadly though, it is true :P

  • @Brndnrchrdsn85 It is funny you should say that since i just saw several videos that had people asking for tabs in spanish.. Apparently people are stupid in mexico too.

  • uhh

i might be wrong, but i prefer playing this is drop D...

  • @Deathpool35 Drop D is okay, same thing only you bar to do a powerchord. I use full step down, wich means I tune in D, but I tune down all the strings a full step, instead of just tuning the 6th string to D, as you do in drop D.

    Neither is wrong.

  • Good job :D:D

  • Dude i dont think your in d tuning

  • @vM3TALLICAx I assure you, the sound would be absolutely terrible if I didn't have it in D-tuning.

If you think the guitar sounds out of tune, maybe it's SLIGHTLY off intonation or something. Cause I remember tuning the guitar seconds before this cover :P

  • @dnzari96 No, but I can bet my mother's ass Google has it ;)

  • @DonQuixotec giggity

  • no feeling , no expression at all.you obviously learn the whole song note by note but that's not enough....keep up trying though you're close.

  • Something sounds off.

  • Work on those palm mutes please..

  • you kinda still dont palm mute when your supposed to

  • very nice

  • @blacksaintos Thanks :)

  • i have the exact same guitar dude its fucking awesome, the emgs are sweet

  • @TheHEYdrew I know. Sometimes I miss EMG's :) They are so reliable!

  • Nice! >:D

  • @RDOG817 Thanks man!

  • nice ltd mate

  • How much was that guitar it sounds awesome.

  • @ZeRoRaGe92 It's an anniversary edition guitar, it costed me about 2000 dollars. But that's in Norway. It's hard to find too.

  • nice job. Best cover ive heard of this song.

  • @soupman2060 Really? Thanks, that's very cool to hear!

  • Hey dude, Great cover!!!!! :D hey, can you make a lesson?

that would be great dude, Keep up the great work

    Steven.

  • hey i was wondering if this song is hard to play if i am a beginner

  • @thekillersmusic16 Some parts may be difficult like the first soloing in the intro. But it is indeed one of the easier Metallica songs. So with some practise I believe you can nail it :)

  • @DonQuixotec Thank you very much! I really enjoyed your cover of this song - great work :) I can't wait until i can play it like you!

  • u nailed it man

    cheeeeeeeeers.

  • @lolF16 Thanks dude!

  • @DonQuixotec ur like so welcome for the great performance man

    cheeeeeeeeeeers.

  • tone is perfect.

  • Thank you, that's good to hear!

  • could u do a lesson ??

  • I'm afraid I ain't got time to do guitar lessons at the moment, but maybe some time in the future. But I can assure you there are many great tabs for this if you search for it in google.

  • nice...

try playing the second solo complete, its easier than it looks

  • Setting from de cube please?

  • EQ: Bass 12 o'clock, Mid 1 o'clock, Treble almost 3 o'clock.

    Amp model: R-fier

    Gain: 3 o'clock

    Presence: Almost full

Delay: Middle volume then tap twice in one second

That's all I guess. I don't use any other effects or anything.

Some of the sound (heavy sound) comes from the guitar as well. Got mahogany body with EMG 81 and 85 pickups

  • you made me cover this song :]

  • That's great! :)

  • ohh ya ive done dat

  • Ah, then we have the same tabs, mate :)

  • what guitar do you prefer, your ibanez prestige or this guitar?

  • Ibanez is much more comfortable to play on. The ESP has great metal sound and doesn't lose power when I tune it down. But I like the sound on the Ibanez even better. (DiMarzio pickups ftw!)

I am not sure. I think I prefer the Ibanez. They are two very different guitars. I now have my perfect setup though. I have the Ibanez for standard tuning songs, and I have the ESP for half and full step down tunings. And the ESP is perfect for that, I've looked hard for a Les Paul style 24 fret EMGguitar

  • small marshall wat i recomend hey u got tabs dis my fav song

  • Just search for it on ultimate-guitar com

  • need new amp!!!!!!!!! other wise nice job!!!!

  • What do you recommend? I can't have stack or something very big, cause I am having the amp in my little room.

  • Hey Man. Nice playing, Nice tone and that's a sweet guitar. ESP right??

  • Yes, an ESP, but it's ESP LTD, means it is made in Korea, not Japan. But the more expensive models won't have much difference, unless they have tremolos (better tremolo systems on Japanese).

It's an anniversary guitar from ESP in 2005 the company was 30 years, hence the "30" symbol on the fretboard. It's a good guitar, and I am happy with it. I would recommend it to anyone. You can find the non anniversary model too. It's all in the EC series.

  • You forget something, the LTD line is also crafted in Indonesia..

  • Ah yeah that's true. But still, no big difference between Korea and Indonesia. The real difference lies between those countries and Japan or USA and such

  • Better than the first in my opinion. Especially the part from 0:33 - 0:57

  • Ah thanks, that was actually the part I was disappointed with in the first video.

  • How long have you had the cube 80x? Have you played it in a live setting with drums? Looking into this amp, maybe to buy. Let me know your thoughts on this amp.

  • Only a couple of months. And I have not tried it in a live setting with drums. You'll just have to try it out in your local music store. But I am sure you will be very happy anyways if you choose this amp. I am very happy with it, and I am kind of an perfectionist when it comes to the gear for my hobbies.

  • The first one is better, but this one is good 2 :D

    When I get a new amp I'll make a cover too :D

  • Great! Let me know when you do.

  • how long have you been playing?

  • Uuuh.. About one year acoustic, and almost two years electric now. But I only play as a hobby. So I should be better than I am, if I played more frequently and practised more.

  • YOU ROCK

  • Thanks man!

  • this sounds way out of tune. . .good though

  • It's not out of tune at all actually. The song is tuned full step down (DAFCGD), as is my guitar. And if you listen at 1:17 and listen carefully to the background guitar, you will hear that it is correct.

  • ROCK ON

  • Fuck yeah!

  • nice cover! and guitar looks cool. is that emg's in them? and dude what did you do with your mh-1000? thats like one of my dream guitars... and a suggestion for a new buy, buy a tube amp. that will make your sound much better!

  • I know about the tube amp stuff. The MH-1000 had BAAAAD scratches on the back of the guitar, I painted it but then the front looked so bad in comparison too. I just couldn't take that shit, I need my guitars to be perfect. So I sold that one.

Yeah on my new there are EMG's like on the MH-1000, but instead of a 85 in the neck, my new one has a 60 in the neck. Gotta say I love that pickup

  • okk yeah. but did you have problems with the tremolo?(mh-1000)

  • No that was a no tremolo guitar as well. It was the ESP LTD MH-1000NT (nt = no tremolo)

  • aaah ok. anyways dude i love seing your videos. i think that your awesome as guitarist. idk how to explain it but just your attitude and the way you reply to ppl and everything, makes you awesome

  • Again a new guitar, didnt you like the ibanez?

  • Haha! No I love the Ibanez. I finally have my dream gear: Ibanez RG2550Z (tremolo guitar tuned E standard) and now the ESP EC-2005 (without tremolo wich I will use in different tuned songs).

I actually have three guitars another one Ibanez RG321MH wich I fittet with Seymour Duncans SH-2 and TB-6 but I was not happy, so that one is for sale for norwegians.
