The reason they went on to lose the series wasn't because of Bartman, it was because of an all too typical complete Cub collapse in the remaining play. @screwdabrewcrew The reason they didn't call interference is because he screwed up a play for the home team, so the umps assumed that wasn't his intention since he was also wearing a Cubs hat. On the contrary, if he had done the same thing to a Florida Marlins outfielder to prevent him from catching the ball, the umps would have called interference because they would have assumed it was done deliberately to try and help the Cubs in Chicago.

It's the Cubs fault for not winning Game 7 and having the wrong pitchers pitch. Oh by the way, blame the umpire for not calling fan interference, that would have made him out right there.
